QUOTE (han2503 @ Jan 15 2014, 06:54 PM) Isn't Maher more of a central type of player? I think Bakkali is the talented wide man for them. Maher is more of an attacking midfielder type of player That's accurate. QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jan 15 2014, 07:40 PM) With Maher I can see us playing: De Jong - Montolivo Maher Kaká - Honda Balotelli I'd bench Maher.

QUOTE (KillerMax @ Jan 16 2014, 01:17 PM) Seedorf to renew EmanuelsonIf this is factual, then Seedorf and I are going to have problems already. First of all it would be playing favorites from the get go. Second, Emanuelson as first team LB? DS must be the undisputed starter there. Especially when Abate gets back. DS is somehow at his best on that left side. And no matter all of Abate's shortcomings, Urby is inferior in every respect. Starting to feel nervous about Seedorf already, This could get ugly. Hope this news is nothing but speculation. Especially the first team LB thing.... We should just be happy that we have three very decent fullbacks, instead of having to rely on the Favalli's and Mesbah's of the occasion when one of them gets injured. Anyway, Seedorf and Galliani during the contract signing (IMG: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BeGUoEEIgAAyFt_.jpg)

What you say? Putting Favalli and Mesbah in one category is a grave mistake. And then implying that Constant is better then Favalli...

Hope this news is nothing but speculation. Especially the first team LB thing.... Emanuelson's contract is running out, and he's been doing well, so not extending his contract makes little sense. Also, saying to rely on him in first-team affairs doesn't necessary mean that he is a definite starter over either Abate or De Sciglio, but that he is valued enough to be seen as starting material, and when it comes to football, not every week you have the same starters. The mentioned three all could be many times starters during a season.

QUOTE (KillerMax @ Jan 16 2014, 10:29 AM) ^ From the comments: That awkward moment when the coach is still playing better than majority of players.(IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) When someone is really playing poorly, instead of just benching them, he can bench them in favor of himself.
