Hi,

In v2 we've decided to put more emphasis on a single Poll topic every week, rather than have a number of polls scattered around the forum. We felt that if there was just one Poll to vote on, not only would it get a larger number of votes (and opinions), but the results would actually mean something and it should create some interesting discussion.

Only mods have the ability to create Polls, but we're looking to the members to tell us what kind of topics you want to vote on. Feel free to drop your ideas for next week's Poll in here, or PM a mod if you want it to be a suprise.

A new Poll will be created every week, and once finished the results will be published and the thread left open for discussion.

Get voting!

Guys, please - I'm struggling to cope with the amount of poll suggestions that are pouring in! ((IMG:style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) )

Give me some interesting ideas as to what you think would make a decent poll. It doesn't have to be in this thread - you can PM me, a mod or drop me a line at m1ke[at]milanfan.com

What about...what sort of player do Milan need to buy before the season starts? Keeper, defender, midfielder or forward?

Just a suggestion.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I suggest something like 'who will finish our top scorer'... (there was a thread for it but we don't exactly know how many votes each player got - so a poll wouldn't hurt)

Maybe we should have an internal poll to decide what poll to put on for next week? (IMG:http://i34.tinypic.com/51brs0.gif) Could be fun. Hehehe.

Well, let's make a poll and decide who's gonna be Milan's most efficient goalscorer?

And while we're there, we can always ask in addition who's gonna be the capocannonieri this season?

Ah, i forgot to do an overall player of the season poll, when i was dishing out the polls a few months ago. Wont make much difference now though

Edit: i would consider it unprofessional if i didnt suggest a poll. How about (with regards to transfers) most overpriced player bought e.g. buying Zambro for £8

Guys i think we should make a poll of what is really and actually wrong with milan in serie A especially? Is it Ancelotti, is it our defense, is it our goal keeper? is it milan being cheap? or us still having old baggages? Or us still signing players really not needed....Really wat is wrong with milan...? guys we should ponder it..Still after playing our best football in a long time we still lose...really wats wrong with milan? i still down day to day and really think bout this..i haven't gotten an answer...

POLL IDEA

Given the chance, Should Milan re-sign Ronaldo (R9)?

Yes
No

[Someone please create it]

I'm interested to see which out weighs the other, given his ability to turn a game within a matter of minutes (as we all know of), also given his inability to stay fit for a lengthy period of time.

Poll idea (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Who will finish as Milan's top scorer in Serie A this season?

Kaka
Pato
Ronaldinho

PS 1. If you think another player still has a chance, include him.

Enough said. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) He was no way near this performance five years back. I don't know what he's smoking now, but he's without the doubt inter's most consistent player. United would have slotted in at least 2 or 3 had it been not for Cesar.

no no you guys are confused. Okay here i will re do it so you guys can better understand:

1)Sack him at the end of the season
2) Let him finish his contract
3) Renew his contract for 1 more year
4) Renew his contract for 2 years
5) renew his contract for 3 years

I like that one. It also ties in with Filippo's earlier poll suggestion. Put it up please. 10ster? Max? Mishie?

After that we can have a new poll...

Dst is a...

1. Man
2. Woman
3. Either/Or
4. God does not play dice with the world but occasionally he creates a sovereign entity similar to Panos Thelis.

LOL reminds me of a joke i heard when i was younger

during mass a young boy asks the pastor, Father, is god white or black?
-he is neither white or black my child
-Father, does god loves us kids as much as adults?
-He loves all equally in abundance my child
-Father is God a man or a woman?
-He is neither man nor woman
-Father, Is god Michael Jackson?

Not read this whole thread, but I'd like to see a poll summing up how this forum feels about Kaka's departure.

Was he forced out by the powers that be, was he a lying judas who took the chance to escape Milan, or was it a business condition which suited him and the club?

I think it's pretty clear, all the players that have talked about it said that the club had to sell him for financial reasons.

Yep, the only one that has said it was Kaka's choise was Silvio, because he didn't want to lose any votes and it suites his image while tarnishing someone else's

I may be wrong - but didn't Miz & Tennie say the opposite? [...forgive me if I am wrong]
I think a poll would have been a good idea - those who are usually afraid of critisim would also tend to vote because its somewhat confidential!

Well it's a fact that Kaka was sold for financial reasons, everyone from the club (apart from Silvio who has obvious reasons to lie about it) has admitted so... I'm not sure about Miz's view but Tennie also thinks he's a money whore... I can't see where that is based on but everyone's free to think the way he/she wants... I'll just mention that Tennie has admitted she never liked Kaka... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

(For the record, no, I never did like Kaka and still don't. Think there's a bit of money whore about him, yes, but ultimately I think the transfer to Real was one that suited everyone concerned.)

What league has greatly improved this year. I would honestly have to go Serie A because it is reshaping and i see us Going further in Euro competitions (uefa-CL and so on). One can also make an argument for the ELP, Bundesliga(not really though) and obviously la liga.

It did. What gets me about the whole thing is the fact he, like so many before him at Milan and other clubs, swore allegiance to us beyond words. He wanted to be the captain, an idol, and finish his career here.

The Man City bid comes in and we accept, and leave it up to Kaka, who rejects because he wants to stay with us.

Then Real Madrid come in, offer less, we still accept, and he goes. He leaves us with the nice quote that he only wished the deal had gone through sooner.

If Kaka had been self sacrificial he'd have left in January to give Milan the money. No, he wanted to leave for Madrid, and was waiting for them to offer.

In a way, Kaka cost us 50M through selfishness.

For me, personally, his sale was a tragady. The details don't concern me - I know he was held in high regard at Milan so his sale would not have happened unless it was necessary.

He's the kind of player that simply cannot be replaced. I'd like to think that he was true to his word, and wanted to remain but left in order to help us balance the books.

So you're saying if Random FC from a 5x5 tournament in the North Pole had offered half a million euros he should have gone to them so that we get the biggest offer? This is ridiculous. Of course he did not want to go to City, why should he?

I believe he would have never left Milan if we did not want to sell him and you believe otherwise so there's no point going on with this as it will get us nowhere.

The way I see it, a guy that takes time to talk about his former club in his presentational speech is way too tied to it to have gone willingly.

While Kaka' did want a good deal for the club, he didn't want to be forced somewhere that he didn't want to go. I believe had Chelsea came in for him, he would have gone. But where City will be in a few years is still up in the air, nobody knows how quickly they will succeed, why throw your career away for the good of a club? I also think more of the blame should go to the management, they were more than happy to seemingy force him out the club to make a quick few $$$.

Im with Mike. With the level of money we seem willing to invest, he is irreplacable. The few players in the World that are as good as him are simply not in our price range.

Not read the whole thread so apologies if I've missed folk saying these before...

Best 'lesser' league to scout for new talent:

1: France
2: Belgium
3: Brazil
4: Portugal
5: Netherlands
6: English Championship
7: Serie B

And:

What is your priority this coming season?

1: Scudetto title
2: CL/Europe title
3: Respectable displays in both to regain credibility.

Next poll should be Ambro vs Rino.

Seeing as its a very commonly discussed topic, mostly between me and kurt, but everyone has their oppinion on the subject it should be made into a poll so we can see where the board members stand on this

We've waited long enough. Time to know the truth how many people on here want Silvio gone?

Just make a poll along these lines!

Should he go / stay? Would he invest in the team again? Does he care about the team still?

Time to see some statistics! Make a Poll.

I for one am now willing to see us part ways if Silvio doesn't shape up!

Enough is enough - He has been beating around the bush way too long! He is one of the world's richest & most powerful and yet still refuses to help where out where necessary!

We are fine as we are - Are you fcvking kidding me Silvio??!

He has been saying this for years now, but yet this team has lacked consistency and pride for years now.

Not to mention challenging for Serie A! - When last were we really able to do that?! But yet we are fine as we are?!

Fin for what?! - Mid Table, Early CL Eliminations (or no CL at all), Laughing stock of Europe & Italy?

He needs to shape up or ship out (sell) - Simple as that!

Like someone rightly said in another thread - He needs to realize that he is not the only milan fan just because he owns the club! The fans are the ones who bring in part of the revenue to the club and share the passion of the club!

Sure he is the president and has brought great success and joy to the club. But that was when his motives seemed to be different! Times have changed!

MAKE THE POLL - Lets see how many still have faith in him.

I made a post in the Pato thread, wouldn't mind a poll about it:

For the sake of his career, if Milan don't improve soon, would you let Pato go?

Yes
No

Under the premise that Pato's career is struggling to bloom, and another club in a better state might be a superior environment for him.

I would let him go. Pato has been here only 2 years, so its not that big of a loss. But I would like to keep him if we had the chance, but if he has to go then I would not go ape sh*t like when we lost Kaka.

I prefer a healthy milan to a healthy pato.

Funny, I wasn't that bothered when we lost Kaka because I'd already felt his best years were behind him, a belief being justified by his average start at the Bernabau.

I was, however, appalled at the notion of losing Pato.

Now, however, I'm less sure.

Bidum t'sh.

Put it this way though, imagine we get 50M for a 20 year old in January, and a new manager - I'd much rather use that money to rebuild the squad from the ground up than keeping him and not having any money for a new manager to use.

And let's face it, after he brought in Huntelaar, I don't exactly trust Leo with millions.

What does that mean? Bid him goodbye?

I don't think Leo is to be 'blamed' (too early to say) for KJH. In his defence similar to Carlo, he wanted something else and was forced to compromise for the sake of the budget.

He wanted Fabiano and the board got him KJH who was on a special 40% Milan only discount.

Even if I buy this theory, it doesn't excuse the appalling nature of our current plight. Leo is a symptom of it, if not the cause.

leo publicly declared that huntelaar was a good striker but he wanted fabiano, it was the management's decision.
i'm not sure but its rumoured milan only paid 4m with 11m to come in installments

You misunderstood. I meant 'were you meaning Pato or Leo'.

And bidum t'sh is the sound a drummer makes after a gag.

As an aside, I have a belter of a poll suggestion:

Will you still support Milan as avidly if we get relegated to Serie B?

Yes.
No.

i thought it would be a good poll due to everyone seamed to have a different opinion, any game ambro doesn't get booked and touches the ball i believe he deserves a standing ovation, MOTM might be a bit much (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) i'd hve to go seedorf, but i can make a case for any member of the back four (except maybe Gianluca for trampling over Benzema)

Why would they have a different opinion? I'm not saying I'm right.. but anyone that doesn't pick Ambro is wrong. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Almost everyone was fantastic in a way. Pirlo stunned Madrid players with his strike - if it hadn't been for him we probably would have lost. Seedorf and Ambro created well, Pato finished well. Nesta defended well - so did everyone in defense in fact. so... no MotM. we won as a team and that's how it should be most of the time (not always).

Man of the match for me was Zambrotta. The moment he fouled Benzema and no penalty was give, I knew the stars were shining on Milan that night. Since Zambrotta assured me of victory, I give him the prize.
