15:03 - Interviewed by Mark Nosotti for Sky Sports, Massimiliano Allegri spoke Ibrahimovic and beyond. Here is what appears to be MilanNews.it: "There was a phone contact for information. He told me it would be very happy to come to Milan and see if the company manages to go to complete the attack which is already very strong. I am confident by nature and we are all convinced that it is a very important player and I repeat that this would complement an already strong department and we would make a quantum leap. It 'was a courtesy call just to know. L 'will be preserved, we were greeted with a hello. Ibra is a champion and we have more and more easy to win games. We have Huntelaar, Borriello and Inzaghi are delighted to Goofy after the performance in Barcelona. Borriello must find optimal shape as Huntelaar. With Ibra would we put cm, and technical goals and to achieve certain results you must have a shortlist made up of key players and if you win you all win as when you lose, you lose all. Arrival Ibra does not change our system of play. It discusses the technical qualities of players like Ronaldinho and Ibrahimovic, but Sunday will be the motivation to make a difference on Sunday already must deal with all the right mentality without thinking that the games on paper easy, have already won. At this moment, should get Ibra, would be complete in every department, so I think by Sunday and Monday, when the rose is complete, I believe this team can give a lot "

QUOTE (han2503 @ Aug 27 2010, 06:34 AM) I really don't understand this, what was the point of selling Kaka then? We're throwing all this money on one player when we couldn't even afford to buy Boateng and had to beg a mid table club to buy him for us.
Yes Silvio is funding it, but that money could be put into much better use elsewhere. I think a big thing a lot of us are overlooking in the price tag is that the 40m is being split up over 3 years. Regardless of Berlu's funding, this is still only a 15m transfer this year. The other 25m will be paid in the next 2 seasons, in which a lot of these bad older contracts will be finished with. The 15m from this year is made up from the sale of Huntelaar, and essentially, we have still complied with a transfer budget of $0. The only extra is the extra wages, which may be made up for by CL advancement, ticket sales, etc. It actually seems like a pretty genius move, provided they don't screw up the budget later on.

Oddly, I think the things a lot of folks are overlooking are the prehistoric midfield and the desperate need for quality fullbacks (not just centerbacks capable of playing on the wing).
Still don't think it's a wise use of money, if indeed it happens.

Still don't think it's a wise use of money, if indeed it happens. I think you just have a soft spot for Borriello's starting spot which is gone! Woot! haha, I'm joking. I agree though, I'd love a new mid and RB in addition to this, but as simple as it is, Berlu doesn't want to fund that. Without his funding we have nothing.

QUOTE (MizNelson @ Aug 27 2010, 02:15 AM) I don't understand this sudden Ibra love affair. When he was with Inter we'd just as soon have set fire to him.
If he signs with us, he'll be gone in less than two years. Guaranteed. Seriously...will ya marry me...I'll fly up to Cali tomorrow got my US visa and everything (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I am saddened by the way our club is run. Yes Ibra is a great champ. He has his flaws like being slow and a bit of a bottler but he's a guaranteed hit in Italy. However on a human level he's scum and not only because of his arrogance which I could deal with but also he's a NASTY PERSON. He has injured his former team mates intentionally (he studied tae-kwon-do and uses his skills in football to hit the ball at unique angles but sometimes also to kick opponents). You can google the article where Van Der Vaart blasted him for this. The other thing is he's already played for Juve, Bartha, and Printer. Each time he's pretended that he has some sort of special devotion to them. Playing for Rivals in itself doesn't bother me after all my hero Ronaldo played for the two biggest city rivals in Europe on both sides (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) But I have a problem with all the claims of being a childhood fan and the badge kissing etc. There is also a football element in that what the TEAM currently needs may and I say may because I could be wrong totally as well. We need a LEFT BACK ffs We haven't had a proper one to work continuously and consistently for over 4 years (IMG: style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) We need a CLASSICAL and CLINICAL (which Ibra totally isn't) CF. Ibra is good and outrageously skilled but just like Ronaldinho, Seedorf AND Pirlo- needs time on the ball. Some people are of the utterly misguided opinion that we could just lob balls forward and he'll latch on to them beat 4+ defenders and score because they believe that Ibra singlehandedly won it for printer. This is a gross oversimplification and is closer to a lie if anything. The Ibra frenzy has reached a fever pitch where Hunt and Flams would be gladly sacrificed at his altar. Call me stupid but a midifield of Ambro-Pirlo/Dorf-Boateng is STILL too lightweight.... But that's ok since the messiah Zlatan I'mahomobitch can walk on any SerieA water Lastly there is the financial element... - He's going to be 30 in two years and there's no telling how his form would be then
- MASSIVE WAGES IN AN ALLEGEDLY BROKE ORGANIZATION. THE RIPPLE EFFECT OF HIS WAGES AS THE OTHER (BETTER) WOULD NOW DEMAND AN INCREASE
- This smells of a Pato sale (you , know to cover those huuuugge wages..but it's ok cause he's injury prone (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) )
- no investments due to the $plashing all our financial eggs in one mercenary basket (what? Y'all ungrateful? WE GOT (IMG:style_emoticons/default/king.gif) ZLATAN)
- Repeat retarded cycle above
I don't know but losing the PERSONALITIES of good men like Paolo, Carlo and Kaka is taking it's toll on me

At the basic level it seems like this will be a good deal financially and tactically to me. But I'm a noob.
I'm curious to see who magically changes their mind (assuming the deal goes) when Ibra scores goals against Inter, or Madrid, etc.
I remember a similar, but even more heated scenario when Dennis Rodman signed with the Bulls, a guy who was not only the worst character person in the NBA, but a guy who had been a key part of a dirty, physical rivalry with the Pistons. A lot of people thought he would destroy the team, but then they go on and win 72 games while Rodman dominated the boards, on post defense, and in hair salons, and everyone (including me) loves him even to this day, despite the fact that he was still a terrible person, got suspended dozens of times, etc, during his stay on the Bulls.
