I'm not sure how many members we have stateside, but if it's just me (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) , then pardon me while I get incredibly excited -- Fox Soccer Channel will begin broadcasting Serie A games this season!!!! (I assume this is because RAI lost tv rights...?)
QUOTE (foxsports.com @ 4 hours ago)
Italy's world-renowned professional soccer league, Serie A, is coming to Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports en Español for the league's 2005/2006 season.

The networks will televise the home matches of Serie A clubs Lazio, Lecce, Treviso and Cagliari on a live and exclusive basis in the United States. The new season kicks off Sunday, August 28, with Lazio's opening match against Messina, airing live on Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports en Español from Rome's Olympic Stadium at 9:00 a.m. ET.

As a complement to their Serie A match coverage, the networks will broadcast a weekly selection of programming from the AC Milan Channel, a network dedicated exclusively to Serie A powerhouse AC Milan, last year's runner-up in the UEFA Champions League. Programs featured will include "Milan Magazine," a 26-minute show featuring exclusive interviews, breaking team news, transfer gossip, player profiles and highlights; matches from AC Milan's 2005/2006 Champions League campaign, including exclusive post-match interviews; and "Milan Channel Classics," a showcase of classic AC Milan matches from past seasons.

"We are thrilled to bring to our viewers the excitement, passion and glory of top-flight Italian soccer," said David Sternberg, executive vice president and general manager of Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports en Español. "Between our live match coverage and the unique offerings from the AC Milan Channel, Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports en Español will deliver compelling, exclusive programming to Serie A fans in the U.S. all season long."

Serie A is taking its place in Fox Soccer Channel's exclusive programming lineup alongside the Barclays English Premier League, German Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Argentine League, Major League Soccer and the United Soccer Leagues. Fox Soccer Channel is the most widely distributed English-language soccer channel in the U.S., reaching over 20 million households. In addition, the channel offers more championship tournament coverage of soccer than any other English-language network, including England's storied FA Cup, the UEFA Cup, the FIFA Under-20 and Under-17 World Championships, and FIFA World Cup 2006 qualifying matches from Europe.

Offering more than 1,500 hours of live sports programming a year, including the Mexican and Argentine soccer leagues, Fox Sports en Español is the only Spanish-language network to offer exclusive coverage of the four major international club tournaments from Latin America, encompassing more than 125 matches and over 500 hours of live coverage of the most important matches from the Torneo InterLiga, Copa Toyota Libertadores, CONCACAF Copa de Campeones, and Copa Nissan Sudamericana.

Fox Soccer Channel is affiliated with Fox Sports International, an international sports programming and production entity housed within Fox Networks Group. Fox Networks Group, an operating unit of the Fox Entertainment Group, consists of the FOX Broadcasting Company, Fox Cable Networks, FOX Sports and Fox Networks Engineering & Operations (FNE&O). Fox Sports en Español is distributed by Fox Cable Networks Group and operated by Fox Pan American Sports LLC, an international sports programming and production entity jointly owned by Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst and Fox Sports International.

For more information on the networks, visit Fox Soccer Channel online and Fox Sports en Español.
Based on this article, I'm note sure if we'll see more than Lazio, Lecce, Treviso, or Cagliari's home games, but it'll be a pleasant addition to the game selection on other channels (namely GolTV, which usually shows the big matches -- ie, Milan, Juve, Roma, Inter, etc).

It also bears repeating that FSC will broadcast programming from the Milan Channel!!! the coverage is actually pretty good.

i watched the juve match last weekend and it was nice. the serie a weekly show is only 30 minutes, but it's not finally get a run down of what's going on in Serie A. They show the top goals, top saves, and a quick run down of all the games.

the biggest thing this year is that they got ALL of serie a on FSC, instead of just the lower teams...which means that they won't show milan every weekend, but they should show a lot of them. they've actually had the Milan Channel stuff for a few years now.
