Another must win. Hopefully by then we'll have at least one more (proper) midfielder and a defender capable of remaining in form.

Well, at least Drogba then. Would be an upgrade to what we have now.

So, apparently we're playing a friendly tomorrow against Pro Patria. Here's the probable line-up:
Amelia; Abate, Bonera, Acerbi, Antonini; Flamini, Muntari, Boateng; Emanuelson, Niang, El Shaarawy.
Boateng in midfield. Hm, maybe Allegri is trying something new?

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Jan 2 2013, 10:00 PM) Against bad teams sure. But no real DM against good sides we'd get ripped apart with that midfield 3. I agree with that. But against most teams it's just overkill to have Nocerino, Ambro/DJ, Boateng, Monto all in the same midfield and it usually ends up in one big mess in the center which does not provide even half decent service to our forwards. If the management have no intention of investing in another DM, I'd rather play this way and put Ambro in when the big teams come rolling through. But imo, sticking more DMs in there simply won't solve our defensive issues. Ambro was there against Roma and we were cut wide open time and time again, without any huge effort on Roma's part might I add. This can only be fixed if we alter the way we play, meaning possession, winning the ball quickly and how long we can hold onto it. And imo, adding more muscle won't help in terms of retaining the ball and making good use of it when we actually have it. But we'll end up losing it more and having to fight harder to win it back. We need to find a balance in that midfield more than anything else. Which is why I feel we're craving someone like Sneijder, who's calm on the ball and can always see the smart pass that would help us keep possession rather than just trying to hit the ball at someone and hoping for the best

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Jan 2 2013, 11:53 PM) Han, why do you always forget to include Muntari? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) In all seriousness, I don't see him as a DM. He a terrible passer, completely clumsy, no positional sense, etc. I seriously would rather see anyone else there but him
