I'm really not feeling to go through a numerous set of previous pages atm, anyone cares to sum up what the second half consisted of?

Very bad things. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Not unlike the ones you've been seeing recently. We score a goal, and can't finish a game. Allow the opposition to come out and attack. And next thing you know they score. Either we come out in the 2nd half very low on confidence, or with lots of it - as in hubris.

Paolo looked like our only defender. Kaladze was being himself; gave a penalty in the end. For my money, he'd have come out wearing the Torino shirt, and the world wouldn't have stopped going round. Kaka took diving lessons from CR, when he had a pretty decent shot on goal, as well as an option to pass, in the last minute of injury time. Emerson came on and did what he do best: Nothing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) No containing the midfield, which resulted the ball falling to Torino's players and resulted in the penalty. Abbiati proved why he never got out of being a 2nd choice all his life. Frankly, I'd have Dida back right about now, he can't be any worse. Hoho, scratch that thought: Dida can wait. And finally, Sheva - dear 'old' Sheva. Carlo has found a new use for him: use him as a bait to substitute goalscorers so they can get some live applause from fans. To be honest, I'd rather have him not play like this. He comes in the 80th minute just to increase his matches played tally. So people can say he's has played dozens of matches since arriving from the EPL.

So yeah, that's about it. This is what the second half consisted of. You should thank your stars you didn't watch it. Oh and the referee had a personal grudge against us too: He disallowed a clear Ronaldinho penalty, and instead gave Torino a dubious one. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Need to know anything more?

Didn't see the second half...but from the end result and what I have heard, I'm not sure I mind too much.
I believe Sheva got a little playin time though, wouldn't have minded seeing him on the pitch.

Complaicent, lazy football on our part, while letting Toro peg us back and create numerous chances

This is the quick highlights reel, Trini. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) My post above is the second half in full high-definition detail.

Or, to sum that up even more briefly:

Carlo put in Emerson. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Well said. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Emerson has his uses, yes, I'll be the first one to admit this. But putting him in at a crunch time like this when the stake of the match is in the balance. Use him as a rotating player, start him a match or two, but don't prefer him to someone like Flamini. That's criminal, Carlo. That's very criminal.

Oh, and congrats on sizzling past the 1,000 post mark, Miz. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Took you time, but at least you're posting more regularly here now. Here's a well earned beer mug from Pola's arctic bar. See you at 10,000:

That second half doesn't even deserve that type of well put analysis imo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

All I saw of this game was the 30 minute higlights that Sky showed later in the week (I was out drinking far too much chianti classico with friends) so I can't really comment on much. The highlights showed, however, that Kaladze's penalty was a bad call. Did anyone pick up on what happened after the game?

Kaladze gave an interview to Sky Italia (which I saw) in which he complained bitterly about the bad call and wondered aloud whether referee Farina knew the rules. He apparently was made to issue an apology on acmilan.com and faces disciplinary action over it.

i think the penalty was justified, yes it first deflected off his body but he had his arm sticking out and the ball was cleared out of the danger zone. it was rather the missed call on the torino defender that was bad.

kaladze bitterly complaining about someone else error? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) his two errors cost us the match (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hemademe.gif)
