Yeah, Spain is heavily regionalised. There is a lot of pride among the Catalonians, Castillians etc. Each of these reigons see themselves as seperate

Spain were always losers when it comes to NT, though in the past, it was an unwritten rule that a certain amount of Catalonian players needed to be in the line up.
