QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jun 15 2016, 05:22 AM) Looks like the Chinese deal is about to be closed. I doubt it. The Kaka Saga Mister X, Mr Bee, Season-long Public statements about the coach's job being under-fire. When have Milan ever shown that they can do anything major in a terse period of time? I'd argue they exhaust every last televised second stretching-out or postponing major decisions. Not since maybe the double salvo of Robinho + Ibra at the end of the transfer market has something been done rapidly.I can hardly imagine a world where Berlu doesn't pull-out at the eleventh hour, motivated by recent political losses, and decide to keep Milan, bring in Gianpaolo--no one's serious idea of a saviour--, invest 15-30M and call it a day. I'm certain that this won't be done by this time next week. And, holy lord would I love to be made a fool on this point. |

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 28 2015, 01:34 PM) How's that any better from what we had last season? Why would I have to answer for that? If you care what I think. I'd say it's better but my malaise is with the money in the Bacca deal; 30M is ludicrous. I'm perhaps different than most here in that I'd love to see us sign Bertolacci, Jose Mauri, Maksimovic and Baselli and cut the rancid meat off the wage bill. I'd rather we sign/horde a corps of young, next-gen, high-ceiling players than one-hit wonders entering their 30s. The best thing Juve did was take a chance on a lot of young stars and buy-up all the young talent in italy. If we have the money, we shouldn't waste all our singles on the first name that comes to mind... QUOTE Not yet, but who cares. He's a free agent now, not our problem anymore. turns out the swap for cassano wasn't too bad after all...(IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) |

QUOTE According to Gazzetta, Mihajlovic wants a roster of 25 players for next season This would be a best case scenario that suits the reasonably unreasoned mercato tendencies GKs: Lopez, Abbiati, Donnarumma (if we can loan Gabriel) FBs: Abate, MDS, Antonelli, Zaccardo CBs: Maximovic/Glik ,Alex, Zapata, Paletta, Ely MFs: De Jong, Montolivo, Poli, Baselli, Bertolacci, Bonaventura, Suso, Nocerino FW: El Sha, Menez, Bacca, Niang, Mastour/Petagna/Cerci |

QUOTE (acid911 @ Jan 18 2015, 01:16 PM) Oh, and just for the record, I believe we'd have won the league if Pablo was in charge. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Pablo, as in Diego Pablo Simeone, or someone of his type that could extract the best from all available players. We haven't had a motivational coach in eons, actually. Someone that lifts the squad up by a few marks just with his actions. who fits that mold? Mihajlovic is too principled to join an ex direct rival. what does that leave us with? Serse Cosmi? and lessn't forget that Pippo was supposed to be our motivator |

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 24 2014, 10:52 AM) It also depends really. Let's not make stereotypes. One needn't be too dismissive of tendencies. Who considers moves to China, the Gulf, the MLS, or various other markets (australia, India, Hungary...)? the 20-28s? No, it's those who can still command a good wage as a half-player, half-marketing tool for their club. I don't resent the players who choose these moves, nor the teams that want such marriages. My local Montreal Impact have made a slew of senatorial signings (Di Vaio, Ferrari, Nesta, Nelson Rivas, Ignacio Piatti...) All the fans know that the economic dimensional and, perhaps, to a lesser extent, the overall charm of the city allow us to retain these name-recognition players. No bones about it... |

Just a thought. What would you guys think of gabbiadini? he's left footed, big, strong, fast, very technical, and has a wonderful shot....oh and he's italian... With Juve looking increasingly likely to promote Berardi after this season and the overflow of forwards they got at the moment, I think it might be a feasable option. Make a offer like Abbiati + cash (6-8M?) |

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 7 2014, 01:01 PM) My worry is in midfield. Are we really gonna play Muntari as starter on the left? Obviously De Jong and Poli are more than fine, but we need someone who's good on the ball in that midfield trio, someone who can circulate possession and make that final pass happen. In other words, someone with quality. With Monto injured (not that Monto excels in any of those aspects anyway), we either play Honda or sign someone else instead. Playing with either Muntari or Essien, or even Cristante is out of the question. Hopefully Pippo understands this. Pippo understands this better then we do, he's the coach for god's sake and can't be pleased with his options on the bench...i would think but he has yet to be given a left footed winger and it appears Cristante is the replacement to monto. So until then, I think it's a little base to accuse him of not playing players we don't have yet... |

QUOTE (Danny @ Aug 7 2014, 06:47 PM) I personally think on his day Zapata is the best defender we have. He's the quickest and best at last-ditch tackles.
I think he should be partnered by a foil. agreed, people forget how good he is because of that last spurt during the end of Seedorf's time with Rami and Mexes. I don't think it's worrying at all that Pippo has been switching it up at CB. I mean, he's the coach and he gets to see them. surely his pairing agaisnt Lazio will be determined by how well each CB plays here. I read that Essein was playing at RB? personally, i think he did well there at Real too, not a bad idea. At this point, if he's to be the emergency RB, then we can finally get rid of Bonnera and pick up like 3M for him. |

QUOTE (Forza Milan! @ Aug 6 2014, 06:46 PM) Yes, Berlu can do what he pleases (I have made the same point before). That includes mismanaging the team (or allowing it to be mismanaged, which is the same). And, in fact, that what he has been doing. Also, you that you do not need to keep making excuses for Berlu. Glad we are all in agreement. Right because R7 is a full time employee of AC Milan, a liaison officer, if you will... Guys this is getting ridiculous. We can throw all the ad hominems we want management's way but whenever R7 or anyone else elevates the plane of discussion to a level that tries to rationally explain the pieces on their financial chessboard(counterfactuals or not), many can't contain themselves, choosing to freak out and assumes that the same kindergarten words flung at Berlu and Galliani can be thrown around here. Good god it's depressing to see/read financial information about the club, pristine or not, and have a miniature mob of people yelling "you're wrong...yada yada yada...Matri!!!" Add that to the recent "Show me yours and i'll show you mine" game in terms of comparing fanhood. People on here are actually dismissing others for being disheartened by the club enough to, say, not read the daily round-up of BS rumors that never will or never have lead to anything within 3 weeks of said rumor's publication date. \surely for these remarks I will be told I'm not a fan, I love Berlu and i should share the stake with him. |

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 3 2014, 06:13 PM) Gave the most in a 2-0 defeat? Really? He gave the most out of a very disjointed and heartless bunch of individuals who weren't function as a team. But this is not Parma. Giving the most shouldn't suffice. I think his touch, his finishing and his overall attitude don't give a nice perspective. My expectations with this player are around zero, he has potential and work effort, but I think it's ultimately too much work for more then a questionable end result. He was the most lively player despite : -the loss -us not being parma -you not feeling it's enough -his finishing inching encouragingly closer to being just short of bad (it was atrocious last year) -Your expectations of him -your belief that he displayed a poor personality during the game I have opinions on players as well, but I would be careful fogging the borders between them and actual match results....Which player do you think played better and showed more heart, personality and drive? He's no world beater, to be sure, but this is a judgement call on your part having little to do with his performance .... |

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 5 2014, 06:52 AM) Robinho is very close to joining Al Ahli. Galliani will try to sign the following three players in the last week of August ( (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ): Reina, Rabiot and Taarabt. Link*sigh* Reina is crap, Rabiot I've never heard of, Taarabt I don't want him back. Jeez, why can't we make a couple of decent signings for once! Taraabt would only cost us 3M, which would be a steal. Reina? ewwwww. Rabiot is very exciting, though |

QUOTE (drucurl @ Aug 4 2014, 06:52 PM) I used to subscribe to this reasoning but "Milan" isn't playing/acting/doing business/having players even remotely resembling the "milan" I've grown to know and love. There comes a point (I'm not suggesting that I'm at that point) where the only things that make a club what it is are the colours and the logo. When that happens, you can't blame ppl for leaving Agreed, I can support them, to be sure, but as far as spending time on forums, buying merch, recording games, following the day-to=day, i expect to see a great decline. I refuse to pay more attention to the club than the management appears to. It's too negative. I'll be a milanista forever, but, to be honest, this is ridiculous....Negotiations for pandev? **** off! i'm through following this **** until the season starts |

QUOTE (Danny @ Jul 24 2014, 11:08 PM) You might want to read the sentence after it. That'd help. so, to be sure, they are the problem? QUOTE (Danny @ Jul 24 2014, 11:09 PM) You didn't watch the match for God's sake, how can you form an opinion on the result?! Most of the highlights i watch, or for that matter most highlights in general show the goals... |
