huntelaar is a world class player, he is a million times better then pavlyachenko(spl?)

At best they're equal. I see nothing in Roman's career to suggest he's a better prospect than KJH. I also see nothing in KJH's career to suggest he's anything like world class.

Unless your definition of world class differs significantly from mine.

Question: Why would Huntelaar even consider going to Spurs?

Better league, currently a better team, and at least equal pay.

And 'Arry. We can't forget 'Arry.

i don't agree! he's a good player but i'm not sure he's done enough to earn the world-class tag

No. We even gave Oliveira one season right?

even gila was axed unfairly so i'd expect anything. just watched him score a hat-trick for italy...
why'd we get rid of him????? it just makes no sense to sell gila then after an injury/no-show borriello season, we move on to huntelaar, can anyone really call that progress?????

No one's trying to.

But Gilardino was a poor investment. He was like Borriello - can't handle the pressure of playing for a giant club. His goal return was reasonable for us but we're Milan and we need better than reasonable.

He could do it for Parma and Fiorentina - but not us. Just like Borriello could do it for Genoa but not us.

To be as good for Milan as you were for a wee diddy team (as we call them in Scotland) is as much about mental character as it is about ability.

It's a long lasting debate. I remember one guy said world class means the 11 players who he'd pick in a world 11 team.

So by that logic there are no more than 3 world class strikers on earth.

For others, like me, it's any player who's played comfortably at the highest levels for club and country - so Sotirios Kyrgiakos, currently at Liverpool, but who was absolutely wonderful for Rangers in the CL in 2005/2006 and similarly excelled for his country would indeed qualify.

But there's no one gospel definition.

the joke's on us, cos he scored 17serie-a goals last season, this season he has scored more goals than all our strikers put together, he continues to do well with the national team(hat-trick 2nite) at parma, prandelli believe in him& continues to do so at fiorentina, same with lippi in the NT.
giant club? i wouldn't bet against fiorentina finishing ahead of us this year(they've done it before)

it'll have been nice had we sold gila& bought a quality striker, saytorres/david villa...its altogether worse when you move on to borriello

Isn't that the proof we need (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

there's no way of denying his talent, he is, in my books a top 10 striker in the world who has top 5 potential!!

That's not good news. We really do need a defender in January, especially of Onyewu is said to be on his way out.

Onyewu is also out...he got injured today in the U.S.A Match vs costa rica...if milan likes with all these injuries let them not get players in january...they'll be worse than they are now

Screw it. Bring in the youth. With Nesta, Kaladze, Silva and Favalli, buying one more CB who we'll not use after this season is crazy.

(Fishdoll notes - though it's probably going to be ignored by management - that young Albertazzi played CB for the U20s and was actually pretty good. But that'd mean trusting someone from the youth team.)

I'd happily play Albertazzi beside Nesta though I was kinda hoping he would be our next big LB.
