Ronaldinho believes that FC Barcelona need to start from scratch if they are to bounce back next season and admitted that he had not been fully fit all season.
The Brazilian is keen to see the outcome of the Blaugrana's summer rebuilding plans, but is equally looking forward to taking a holiday after missing out on a break last year.
Club president Joan Laporta has said that new rules of conduct will introduced as the players have not always lived up to their responsibilities in recent months.
"We have to start from zero if we are to build a team to win the league again," Ronaldinho said.
"We have all made mistakes of some variety during the season.
"In every aspect we could have done things better."
After being criticised for his drop in form during last season, Ronaldinho has defended himself and said that the lack of a break last summer was crucial.
"I came straight from the World Cup and started working and that hampered me a great deal," he continued.
"I went through the year without feeling my best and that made me tired.
"I was never 100 per cent."
"I have not been criticised any more than any other player.
"When we win everyone says good things and when we do not everyone looks for the reasons.
"Sometimes they find things that do not exist.
Reflecting on Laporta's plans to implement new rules, Ronaldinho said that he would just have to wait and see what ideas were being planned.
"He has the right to see things his way, but the players have not changed anything.
"Now we just have to wait and see what decisions are made.
"I have worked with many coaches and different presidents and each has their own way of working and I have never had any problems."
Following weeks of speculation over his future, Ronaldinho has stated that he has no intention of changing clubs and is looking forward to returning for pre-season training next month.
"I am happy here. Now I am looking forward to a holiday and then I will return to play for Barça," he concluded
