Ballack was, once again, not at the top of his game. I wonder if he'll ever be back at the top. The "small" teams like Mainz, Kaiserslautern and Gladbach looked very good so far. Special admiration goes to Lauterns manager Stefan Kuntz. When he took the helm at the "Roten Teufel" they almost got relegated to the thirs Bundesliga. Now 2 1/2 years later they're back in the Bundesliga and beat Bayern...

Just saw the highlights of the Gladbach match -- this fish likes young Hermann for Gladbach!

(My person is sad though, that Adler conceded six.)

Adler disappointed me... he didn't look good that match..

Hermann seems like a nice prospect indeed... a million times better than Matmour I'd say

Let's see if Knutz can pull off a Rehhagel-KSC wonder (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yep. That and Greece. One of the few coach-miracle-maker left in business these days.

And I'm expecting him to get a new job soon.

Schalke not only signed Hunter, but Atleticos Jurado as well (for another 13 million Euro). I have no clue where they got that money from. Last year they were almost bankrupt and now they can sign Raul, Hunter and Jurado...

Schalke seem to be in trouble this season. Lost every match so far. Not looking good.

On paper they have a good lineup don't they?? But with all those transfers in key positions it will take them time to gel I imagine.

On paper, Raul as an SS with KJH...and Jurado behind is quietly formidable.

Yes, only question mark is why Magath choose to sell his whole back-line. With Bordon, Westermann and Rafinha out their defensive problems are augmented.

So, a few weeks later: Mainz and BVB still first. Mainz play really attractive, but I just can't like them. BVB all the way this year I hope!

As for the big clubs - Schalke and Stuttgart still in relegation positions. Stuttgart amazes me - they manage to fire their coach always at season start. Something's wrong with that team.

Bayern, Wolfsburg and HSV still on hold. Could be a very extraordinary season.

I dunno. It's a toss up between Mainz, Stuttgart and Munich for me this season..on whom to support. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

What do you guys know about Mario Goetze? I've seen his name popped out in news a few times but how good is he? Any German scouts here?
