I can't believe we're having a argument on whether or not the game should've been called off. do we have to argue over everything???

You aren't using the right logical steps here.

A player died in Italian football - Italian footballers get the weekend off to mourn.

A guy died where my dad used to work a few years ago - everyone got the following day off.

It's not stopping football because of a death, it's stopping football because some of these people are good friends and colleagues of the person that died. It's the right decision.

Nicely put.

Ok,I agree, and apologize.Something always ticks me about insignificance about other people's death.

Other people's deaths aren't insignificant, we just don't hear about their place of work shutting down for the day because they're not all the media spotlight, that's all.

These incidents seem to be occurring way too often for comfort. Hope this isn't some kind of trend developing.

RIP Morosini

Muntari played with Morosini during their spell at Udinese. After the announcement, he left the pitch visibly moved.

Agreed.

I was obviously disappointed to tune in finding the game had been postponed, but the day football becomes more important than life itself, which is the suggestion some are making here, is a sad day indeed.

Perspective chaps - a footballer died on the pitch today - it will affect the frame of mind of every player out there. Like Kurt here says, the Speed thing is particularly notable - seeing Shay Given in tears isn't really a good way to present football.

Right decision, and RIP to him and condolences his family.

Agreed. It'd be like last year when Dan Wheldon died, and the race had continued nonetheless.

I know football is an escape for millions but this is the right decision.

Milan (4-3-1-2): Abbiati; Abate, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Antonini; Gattuso, Van Bommel, Nocerino; Emanuelson; Ibrahimovic, Cassano.

Source: Mediaset.

Like Italians would say, "siamo ai titoli di coda" (we're at the ending credits). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
