Moratti: A lesson for Jose Sunday 31 August, 2008 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tension is rising at Inter as Massimo Moratti thinks the debut draw “could be a good lesson for Jose Mourinho” and
“we don’t need Ricardo Quaresma.”Inter’s Serie A season did not go entirely as planned with a 1-1 draw away to Sampdoria on Saturday night.
As Mourinho only won the Italian Super Cup on a penalty shoot-out against Roma, he is yet to actually win a 90-minute official match in the peninsula.
“The team played relatively well in what is always a very tricky arena and we can consider that a good result,” said the President.
“It’s not like England here, there is always this constant level of pressure and no easy games ((IMG:

“Besides, we drew the opening game last year as well and ended up with the Scudetto, so let’s hope this tradition continues.”
Mourinho seemed tense after the final whistle at Marassi and made no secret of his irritation at the inability to sign Quaresma from Porto.
The Coach pointed out “I respect the President and the club. They know my opinion on Quaresma and I’ve been saying it for a long time, but I respect them and my work does not change.”
Just when a deal appeared to be in the final straits, Moratti himself pulled the plug on the £14.5m move.
“We don’t need Quaresma. Inter played well in attack against Sampdoria and he is not necessary.”
Well, we always knew Moratti and his words...
