QUOTE
Buffon: “Still the same old Juve”

The San Paolo stadium, Naples, played host to a near sell-out crowd this evening for the Birra Moretti Trophy, and Gigi Buffon, king of grand occasions, was suitably impressed: “This may be a friendly tournament, but the magnificent crowd here is more than worthy of Serie A”. Right from the start, Juve showed great personality: “Of course. Whichever league we end up playing in this season, we are still the same old Juve, with the same name, and the same history. I’m very much looking forward to a new adventure in these colours”.

So... no Buffon now. He announced on tonight's tournament, Birra Moretti.

Is Dida staying? Amelia? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I don't mind having Dida for another season. After he leaves, even if we don't manage to sign Buffon, I think there are a lot of other talented keepers out there. Timo Hildebrand to mention a name.

Since our management seems keener on investing in youth this year, I would go for Amelia and keep him to replace Dida next year, maybe send him out on loan until Dida is gone so he doesn't get rusty while sitting on the bench

plain and simple...we don't need a goalie

we need to patch the holes we have, and then worry about things like the goalie

Abbiati is good enough. However, don't know why we won't use him.

Inter: anche Buffon nel mirino
MILANO - Insaziabile Inter!

Even if he wont stays at Juve ,Inter has made an offer 18m+Toldo

I don't know about that .. I mean, Buffon knows very well the difference between Inter and Milan .. And if Buffon would want to leave .. It definately wont be to Inter, not because I dislike Inter, but because they are an underachieving team.

Youre right but i think an important word on this will have Cobolli Gigli and as he said on Ibra transfer Juve will sell him to the team who has the generous offer

You know what I'v been thinking l8tly .. Because of Chelsea's extravagant spending power, a lot of players are being priced at an inflated price ..

Take Diarra for instance, Man U wanted him, Lyon said u want him .. you will have to bid higher than Chelsea for Essian.

This whole concept of price going up is not in our favor at all. Because we are a buying club and not a selling club. Now, in terms of finances - we as fans have no say - but the board has a budget, and if honors don't keep rolling in Milan wont be able to risk paying hard cash on players.

In closing, I think that this will have a long term affect on the game

Next year Dida will probably go and Milan will not take any money for him
What if Amelia wont confirm the expectations
After all he is a young unexperienced keeper
I think that if MILAN will buy Buffon will make a good investment for now and for the next 4 or 5 years
As a keeper he is now at the optimal age for performance

Pity that the world's best Keeper plays in Serie B!

Waste of Talent.

Couldn't agree more...
If it was every other nation's keeper, it would be great, but not Italy's!

the salary cup thing is forwarded ... I think it's a highly possible destination for football!!!

About Buffon ... the least I expect from Milan is to spend big and get him!!! Letting Dida go for free next year would really mean there's no management in Milan anymore!!!!
We should also try to get Tevez/Mascherano in exchange from Corinthians if Dida goes there ...
