If he wasnt any good, Milan would have got rid of him a long time ago
He's still here cause he's Berlusconi's favorite. That's not a big secret or anything.
I couldn't confute the argument that I am biased towards some certain players nevertheless I can still see beyond my inequity and weigh up their worth and give them kudos for what they offer to the team. Just like I do with Serginho. I get frustrated by the LB Serginho cause he can't defend (the truth is that he plays cause he's also a Silvio favorite and if it wasn't for Carletto's reluctance to adopt a winger system or something then he would be of much bigger use) but that does not mean I don't appreciate what he provides to the attack.
But Kaladze is another issue. When he first he came to the team and played at LB and LMF I used to like him. I always thought that he would evolve into something big, he'd be our unexpected revelation. But he never did. He's already 28 and he's just where je started from. No evolutiion, no revelation, no nothing. He's had some very good games with the Milan shirt. I've seen him perform better than I expected in some occasions but still not what I initially thought I'd see from him. He may look good next to Nesta or Maldini but to be honest... who doesn't?
The thing is, I may be bashing him all the time but that is just to emphasize the fact that he shouldn't be there, not as a starting XI player... he would be a very important sub, I'd like to see him help coming off the bench. The important thing is to understand that this is not my opinion. It's proved by the fact that we all look at Bonera like he's our savior or something. Bonera is a very good player but so are most Serie A center-backs, I don't remember anyone jumping around when we signed him. We've never seen Kaladze do what Bonera does but I would expect nothing less from a Milan player. And Kaladze
is something less...
