Hrm. Here's the first paragraph of Mediaset's article about the game: Tira un'aria pesante in casa Milan dopo il ko contro il Lugano in amichevole. [There's a heavy air at Milan after the friendly defeat to Lugano. Carlo Ancelotti didn't appear in the press room after the game and the words of the players are hard. Seedorf says 'With all due respect, we shouldn't lose against this team. Sure, it was a friendly, but we should end by apologizing to our fans. We surely can't go to Genoa with this sort of attitude.'] link to full article.

(to say the very least) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

QUOTE (Portikins @ Sep 11 2008, 05:01 AM) What's next? Get a 6-0 in the derby? 6-1, thank you. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Just like the one we got against Juve, but with Paolo scoring our lone goal instead of Baresi. Let's leave the 6-0 defeats to other teams. The thing is we've got a pretty good excuse for these consecutive losses at friendlies, that they're just friendlies. I recall the 4-1 win our Juve, no one said it was a friendly then. QUOTE (Giancarlo @ Sep 11 2008, 05:05 AM) Jesus. We were missing most of our players. Valid point. But maybe our bench could have stepped up. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Or at least, the master tactician, Carlo himself for a change? Winning, and winning consecutively has it's perks and benefits, friendlies or not. It builds confidence for the team and the players. No wonder the coach has been having exclusive luncheons with Galliani and Braida, etc. One with Mr. B seems like a possibility soon. Personally, I just hoped our bench showed some spine, keeping in mind this was a good opportunity for them to come out and shine. They won't be getting much action once the key players return, seeing as we're covered and have backup players in almost every position. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Still, like you said it was a friendly.

Winning friendly games don't mean anything honestly, and it wouldn't mean anything to me either way. Some of them did do well, including Kaka.
