I agree - Sheva's not coming back... I wish he had never left, it would never be the same even if he came back... it was sad but players come and go

The real problem was Adriano Galliani and that horrible transfer campaign... they had the opportunity to pick up Buffon, Zambrotta, Ibrahimovic, and Oddo.. imagine where this Milan team would be with those pickups...Instead, they got Oliviera and Bonera... the only promising pick up is Gourcuff

Starting next year - i would prefer it if Galliani and Ancelotti leave Milan - it's time to start fresh, we should not accept this - losing 4 consecutive games to Palermo, Inter, Atalanta, and Roma - are you joking?? we are MILAN!!!!! I think it's almost time for Ancelotti to go... He is a good coach, not a great one... he looks good when the team plays well but i think he has a couple of big problems as a coach

1. I think he doesn't read the game well. When a team doesn't play well, that is when coaching comes in. I can remember very few times where the team hasn't played well and he changed the game in our favor. Recently, I only remember when he put in Maldini for Gattuso against Lione so Serginho can move up to midfield and add some more attacking options. (then we won)
2. I think he plays favorites with certain players. I think he plays Seedorf WAY too much. Seedorf is a great player but does not deserve as much playing time as he gets. I think he underutilized Jankulovski who would provide more solutions offensively and defensively.

On top of that, I blame him for that Champions League Final against Liverpool. It's an embarassment to lose a game to a bad team after being up 3-0. He should've subbed out players like Seedorf and Pirlo to provide a little more defense and possesion. Kaladze and Dhorasso were on the bench when they could have helped.

The best things Ancelotti has done since he's been at Milan was installing an attacking mentality, inventing Pirlo's new position, playing Kaka over Rui Costa and Rivaldo, and moving Kaladze into the central defense this year.

After 2 years without trophies, it's time for him to leave and for us to thank him for what he has done for this team.

Preferred subs: Rijkaard, Van Basten, or Donadoni

[quote=dst,Jun 5 2006, 08:00 AM]
so the fact that he scored 6 goals this season and virtually he's shown nothing in Italy isn't negative???Welcome man but I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with your first post (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It's ok - if we agreed on everything, it wouldn't be fun anymore... I don't think the amount of goals he scored this season is a good indicator on his talent and potential to do well with a team like Milan... I think he would do well with a player like Kaka behind him... he's good at crossing, dribbling, shooting, and heading... i think he would be a great addition to this team ... just b/c a player doesn't play well on one team doesn't necessarily mean they can't fit in well in another team... Adriano for example... I wish Milan can get him.. he didn't do so well with Inter but I think him and Kaka would play great together plus having his Brazilian compatriots with him (cafu, kaka, dida, serginho), would bring more motivation for him at Milan... Unfortunately, Moratti won't pull another stupid move and they wouldn't give him up for any small price - they'd want one of our stars and there's no way Milan is giving anyone else up at this point

I want Zambrotta and Oddo on the team next year tool (at least one of them)

The best substitute for Sheva at the moment is probably Ibrahimovic ... he has the skills and would play well with Kaka and Gilardino/Inzaghi ... and above all he is young (24) ... if we get Ibra, we would have 3 young forwards who are all the same age... That's a great investment for the next 7-8 years (unless somone else's wife or girlfriend enjoys shopping in London with a Russian Billionare's wife) Milan needs to invest more in young talent like they did with Kaka'... they were the oldest team in the Champions League last year (probably b/c of Costacurta at 40) ... the only negative about Ibrahimovic is his character... we've seen him act up with Juve so he'd have to change that to be an even greater player, like Sheva... i just hope his girlfriend/wife would enjoy Milano... and the upside to Shevchenko's departure is the age factor... Sheva is turning 30 in a couple of months - his value will go down and a bad injury could risk his career.. I was very sad that he left but now we have to think about the future of this club... go to the young, preferably Italian talent
