Dos Santos was one of the best youngsters in the WC. Even though he needs some maturity, I'd like to see him at Milan. He has good pace, trickery and a great shot. His passing did not exactly set the world on fire.

We have 30 players total. That means 12 cannot even sit on the bench. Why do we need more players?

Because 1/3 of our squad sucks? Jeez, what a question...

This is all he said :

QUOTE
“I like Italian football, but at the moment I am a Wolfsburg player,” he said.

“In the next few days you’ll know a lot more about my future. I am a Wolfsburg player and my agent worries about the rest.”

When asked about interest from Milan and Juventus, Dzeko said: “There have been inquiries, but nothing concrete that I know of.

“They are two prestigious teams from a European point of view. It’s an honour to be associated with them, but Wolfsburg also have big plans for the future.”

Where'd he say that, d'arc? (where are the quotes from?)

Catalan paper Sport reports that Ibra's for sale and Milan may be interested. link

Also from Spain, As insists that Real are after Thiago Silva. They say the offfer is 25 million + M. Diarra. link

The new bit in the Boateng story is that Genoa wants to buy him on co-ownership with Milan (but he'd play for Milan). link

qsvs thinks that Milan and inert are both after Shakhtar's Ilsinho. link

Boateng would be great. He was impressive in the WC and would solve a lot of issues in our midfield, being a box-to-box midfielder.

Bring Ilsinho, KP Boateng, Swap Oddo for Ledesma, and splurge on Dzeko, and ill NEVER say anything bad about G & B again.

I mentioned KP Boateng a couple weeks ago as a great idea as a box to box. he's a perfect understudy to clarence.

Um. You realize that Seedorf isn't usually fielded as a box to box mid, right?

If we can develop a partnership with them, our life in Serie A will become much better. Genoa have a strong youth program and also have a lot of good youngsters in their squad.

If we can develop some sort of link where we could send our young players to them for a few years, we could heavily benefit.

Genoa can get great youth players and can save on their transfer budget. We get experienced youth back.

They also have the tendency to buy good young italian players, which can be good for us in the future if we are interested in purchasing from them.

Um. You realize that Seedorf isn't usually fielded as a box to box mid, right?

Um. yes. not anymore. cuz he's incapable of doing that job. hence the whistles whenever the crowd perceives him to be walking/having a shite work rate.

You do realize tho that the best that we have ever been this decade was when Pirlo played in lying play-making role. Rino was his body guard. And seedorf went box-to-box: holding his own, making challenges, launching counter attacks, and finishing the occasional move with a thunder strike.

NOW he isn't fielded there anymore, cuz he isn't capable of doing what he used to. So he relies heavily on his positioning, body strength, and passing accuracy to become more of a play maker than the dogged central midfield tank that he used to be.

KP Boateng has damn decent technique, a high work rate, good pass, and a good shot. He would represent the kind of player we had when clarence was about 6 years younger. anyone who watched ghana saw in him a player that plays with passion, physicality, and high workrate. Those qualities combined with an above average technical abilities makes for a great combination.

With him in the line up, we wouldn't need 2 strict DMs, but still be able to keep Pirlo in the lineup while maintaining balance. It'd be Pirlo, (bodyguard: Ambro/Flam), Boateng. Dinho and Pato to give them outlets. And seedorf would be an impact substitute, a la Ryan Giggs.

In the Panathanaikos thread i think there was some general agreement reached that Milan lacked depth. Just because Seedorf and KP Boateng no longer play the same position means its abnormal for a supporter of our team to want a player like him?
