QUOTE (X-Offender @ Oct 7 2010, 08:12 PM) Inzaghi is 37, he should be shown the door. Milan is not a retirement home. As of now, Paloschi is a much better player. He's just having injury problems at Parma. As Chu-Lip said, it's mainly down to growth spurts, which isn't anything to worry about. Imo the fact that Parma wanted to keep him for another season speaks for itself. As for the discussion in general, I think all of our veterans deserves respect, that means not throwing them out to the curb like yesterday's leftovers. Imo Seedorf, Rino, Ambro and Pippo are all great players to have, but only as top quality backups. If someone is injured or Allegri needs to make a tactical change, what more could we ask for then having such players on the bench. Seedorf is a genius, plain and simple. But he's not eternal. Imo him playing every 3 days is the coaches mistake and no one else's. Playing Seedorf and Rino every 3 days in that midfield to me is just plain ridiculous, especially when you have Flamini and Boateng on the bench. Imo if it came down to keeping them or not renewing I would renew only on the condition that they aren't regular starters for the team, starting a couple of games is not a problem if there are injuries or a tactical reason for it, but they shouldn't playing more then 2 full games per month plus the sub appearances.

QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Oct 7 2010, 08:09 PM) Where did I say it's a problem to keep Inzaghi as a sub? What, you would keep both Palo and Pippo as subs? Or? I don't get it, we have Pato, Ibra, Robby, Pippo,...Palo would be 4th or 5th. That would hinder his development, wouldn't it? QUOTE but obviously there is some very high level of loyalty, so the older players who have been here since forever and are so called 'proven' but mostly 'champions' are getting automaticly picked over any kind of prospect it seems ? QUOTE Having that said, I never said they are retards(wtf?) or something like that. That was a flashback, Ancelotti used to be called that way often here. I didn't mean you explicitly said that. Sorry if I offended you with that word. QUOTE since we all are not at the club so we all should shut up about everything. God, that would be boring. And stop putting words in my mouth. I just want to see prospects giving a better chance to succeed at Milan that I'm used to. Obviously you think all youth sucks and we should keep all of our 'proven' players until they are 44. You accuse me of putting false words in your mouth, while doing exactly the same in an even worser context. What's there more to say? Gee, I didn't say we all should not talk about it, but why thinking so high about a player you saw play...how many time? Once, twice? I don't mention Strasser often, since I didn't see him play much, but if Allegri, Ancelotti and Leonardo didn't put him in it sure means to me something - I then assume he isn't ready, so no, I don't consider him a replacement for anyone.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Oct 7 2010, 08:35 PM) Agreed. I still want Paloschi over Inzaghi though. I think having Paloschi training with Inzaghi would benefit him a great deal, but I agree, next season Paloschi needs to be brought back and be our backup forward to Ibra

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Oct 7 2010, 09:12 PM) Inzaghi is 37, he should be shown the door. Milan is not a retirement home. As of now, Paloschi is a much better player. He's just having injury problems at Parma. You see, this is what bothers me. In a simple post you've shown disrespect to a player I like, and now I almost feel bad saying it.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Oct 7 2010, 10:26 PM) Dude, stop being such a drama queen. You think I'm not grateful to Inzaghi for all the glories he's given us Milan fans? Frankly, he's the one being disrespectful to the club that gave him an international name by renewing his contract for the sole purpose of personal benefit (we all know he stayed in order to beat Mueller's record). He's holding us back. Drama queen? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I just don't like it when you disrespectfully treat one of my favorite players. But go on, he's an easy target... Let's just say we disagree then.

Frankly, he's the one being disrespectful to the club that gave him an international name by renewing his contract for the sole purpose of personal benefit (we all know he stayed in order to beat Mueller's record). He's holding us back. At first I thought Inzaghi was holding us back: he disappointed me last season, so I preferred to give Paloschi a chance, but Paloschi again/still is injured/growing, and Inzaghi does well so far for us this season. Next season I hope to see Paloschi back. I have trust in him, but I wouldn't call him a better player than Pippo at the moment. Next season maybe it's different though. Or is Pippo retiring after this season? QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Oct 7 2010, 09:41 PM) I don't mention Strasser often, since I didn't see him play much, but if Allegri, Ancelotti and Leonardo didn't put him in it sure means to me something - I then assume he isn't ready, so no, I don't consider him a replacement for anyone. Gattuso, Ambrosini and Flamini are all better than Strasser, but from what I have seen I believe he is good enough to be a second backup for DM position. (This season, so not Ancelotti/Leonardo time.) But with the high amount of DMs he gets it tough getting playing time. No it's worse, sometimes we play no DM. I hoped we gave youth a bit more chance than we used to do. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Odu gets most playimg time, while he actually never impressed me. Except for 1 long pass.

QUOTE (samira @ Oct 9 2010, 07:33 PM) Yeah, Pippo is just hoping on breaking some records this year and hoping on scoring more goals.. Yes, like most of the strikers. But if we're speculating so much recently about what he thinks, I'd bet he and Pato are the only strikers in our present roster that think about Milan as well as themselves.
