ANCELOTTI: 'There’s still hope'
1/18/2006
MILAN - Carlo Ancelotti’s post-game analysis: ‘I saw a determined and focused Milan, even in the most delicate moments. We didn’t suffer a lot and we didn’t give away anything, although we could have sealed the game earlier with all of the opportunities we had. The apprehension at the end is tied to what we are currently going through. There is a great desire to do well and you can see that on the field. The lineup was a bit unconventional, but everyone sacrificed, they worked hard, we stayed compact.' Regarding individual players: ‘Jankulovski applied pressure in just the right way, it was his first time in this position. He played really well especially because he hasn’t played a lot. Rui Costa also did well. Too bad about Ambrosini. Dida had great instinct on that goal. Inzaghi is always ready.’ On the chase to catch-up to Juventus, who tied Chievo, he added: ‘There’s still hope for the league position. We must train and search for ways to improve the team. The league is long and the games are starting to become more difficult for everyone. We will be competitive until the end.’
