Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has played down speculation linking the Italian giants with a move for Barcelona duo Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o, but concedes there will always be a place at the Rossoneri for Andrei Shevchenko.

Thierry Henry's arrival at Camp Nou has led to talk of a possible departure of one, or more, of Barca's other star names but Galliani is refusing to get carried away by any such rumours.

Of the opinion that Barca would be loath to sanction the departure of either player, Galliani accepts it is unlikely Milan would be able to lure the duo to Serie A.

"I have spoken to Barcelona official Ferran Soriano and he told me they are both not for sale," he told Sky Italia.

"Ronaldinho, unhappy? We leave our non-EU place free."

With regards Shevchenko, Galliani admits he is open to the possibility but only if Chelsea are willing to do business over the Ukrainian.

"For him it's necessary to understand Chelsea's position. But we have a free place and we can sign an EU or a non-EU player too."

Another player thought to be on Milan's transfer radar is Real Madrid misfit Antonio Cassano.

The diminutive striker has endured a miserable time since moving to the Spanish capital and has been linked of late with a return to Serie A.

"In the last few days I had a joke, but it is possibly not a joke," added Galliani, somewhat cryptically.

"I like him, but everyone must agree. It's a fascinating challenge and maybe in this environment he could do a positive thing."

All teams sign their players as soon as possible so that they won't miss a single session of the pre-season training... you know that!
