Yea I think Strasser would've made a difference. Possibly a big enough difference to change the score line. Maybe not.

Also, Antonini is better than Bonera. (At LB) Hands down. They are both terrible but Antonini at least has a really high work rate. Last night Bonera gave away a 4 foot pass and as they took off on a counter he WALKED back. Antonini would at least have tried.

Why not try out playing Thiago as RB?

Because you'll be creating a problem in central defense then. Abate actually is preforming well this season. Since Zambrotta is out, we're at trouble at leftback, or at central defense when Bonera plays because Silva or Nesta is out.

Yeah, why not? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) You tell me. He is a very dynamic player, and if we can get another quality CB, then maybe it could be worth a try moving him at different positions in the field.

Anyway, I don't think Pato would have done the same Cassano did in his last 20 minutes. Yes, we changed our playing style, but Pato didn't look well the whole match yesterday. He's drifting, his movement is erratic and he's not a constant manace like Ibra for example, or Cassano. With Cassano you got that feeling you have to stick with him every moment or he's gonna do it. Pato - not really. He gives the defenders time to rest. He did it against Udinese also, but switched a few time in the right moment - and managed to score. But it's a problem IMO.

True that. Pato seemed lost (and by the same token, does ZD, where is he? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) ) The duck is still returning from injury, I'll give him that, but the kid has a few issues to sort out to realize his full potential. For some reason I feel Pato and Ibra have a bit of a friction between them. But maybe it's just me.

Regarding the overall Pato issue I think a major problem in his development has been the constant change of manager since he emerged. Pato doesn't seem to have a distinct style or quality, he seems to be on the periphery of games - and that seems to reflect the fact that no one manager has worked with him for a prolonged period of time. So he doesn't seem to have physically or mentally developed in the way we'd hoped.

Hopefully, for his sake anyway, Allegri is the right man and will remain in charge and bring success to us - crucially coaching Pato consistently and getting him to realise potential which at this moment remains a distance away.

You're right,we just don't know what type of player he is.This last two years,he was more of a goalscorer while being passive in the build up play most of the time. Before that,he was more of a dribbler,he scored goals too.

He has to figure out what type of player he wants to be and work on it,and he has to try and contribute more for the team.I mean ok,he guarantees goals with remotely fair supply(wasn't their vs Lecce). But he has so much potential,he can't settle for that. His pace is amazing,I haven't seen him use that this season.Specially on counter attacks, but the problem is that we haven't had much of those.

When our midfielders return from injury,we'll certainly see a better Pato.Because he'll be seeing the ball more often...I kinda compare him to how Torres is playing this season.
