QUOTE (Danny @ Aug 19 2017, 10:58 AM) Make up yer mind mate. Look, don't get me wrong, I would have been over the moon with Auba, but I've come to accept that a move that big simply won't happen this summer So what I did was, I got over myself and the notion of bringing in someone like Auba and made myself see what Kalinic would bring to the table, and imo, it's not a bad signing. I've in fact been saying from the very beginning that after the mercato we had Kalinic would be a let down, but we can't be too greedy. At this point, if we get Kalinic, Keita, CM & CB it would be a much more balanced squad than not getting any of those and just a top striker

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 19 2017, 12:57 PM) I think we'll get Kalinic and a replacement winger, and that's it. We're getting a CM as well Another CB depends on if we sell both Paletta and Gomes

Sounds like y'all gave up on another striker signing. Why is that so?

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 19 2017, 01:36 PM) Sounds like y'all gave up on another striker signing. Why is that so? It really depends on the formation that Montella is planning on deploying. If his idea is to switch to 3-5-2 then another striker would be necessary. However, Montella hasn't shown yet any sign of switching formation. It's like he's waiting for Romagnoli to recover but we could very well play Zapata in the meanwhile. However, if we continue playing 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 then another striker would be overkill, as we'd have four players for one spot (Silva, Kalinic, Borini, new FW). In that case we'd need another winger above all else.

Thing is Bona is injured and if something happens to Suso, we're completely screwed.

The thing with Keita is that he can just as easily play as a SS, in fact that's where he showed his best football last season. We really should go all out for him, maybe we could get him for slightly less now that Lazio are getting desperate to sell him and his Juve option is seemingly falling away. We could have so much tactical flexibility with a player like him

We could have so much tactical flexibility with a player like him We need wingers for sure. More than a top striker (provided our goal is UCL spots). If we want a run at scudetto, we need a top striker, one more mid (for the middle 3) and a top winger. And then we'd have to pray this single season makeover will actually click as a unit. It rarely does especially in a league where some top teams have good players playing together for a while now.

Milan will replace Niang with a Super external attacker, Han Li visit is to authorize high profile operation. between now and next Sunday everything will be clear. [sky] Spartak offered 18+2m for Niang while Torino offered 13-14m decision within 48 hours. [Matteo Pedrosi] Spartak are willing to increase Niang's salary to encourage him in accepting their offer. [Sky] Fenerbahce directors will arrive in Milano tomorrow to try to close the deal for Gustavo Gomez. [Di Marzio] Trabzonspor are interested in Sosa, but negotiations not as advanced as said in Turkey. [Di Marzio] Milan will have an extra-budget to sign a mezalla [sky] Media outlets also saying that Inter's interest in Suso is concrete. Like we'd ever sell Suso to them (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Yeah, but did Suso renew his contract? Last time I checked this was still an open issue, yes?
Niang leaving would be good, and no to Torino. They're really laughable, first they want astronomical money for a one season wonder, now they offer low bids for one of our own players. Very annoying.
Gomez leaving is a bit sad but I guess reasonable. Hopefully this doesn't mean we're gonna keep Paletta.
And what is a "super external attacker"?
