We've basically been 2nd to every ball, not to mention the fact that we've simply been unable to break though their press.
The only forays past the halfway line have been through long balls. Hakan had an absolute mare today as well |

Not gonna bother to comment the performance cos there really isn't anything to comment. The players simply thought this would be a walk in the park and came unprepared, but Spezia played with their heart and soul and completely humiliated us.
Pioli and Maldini should have a talk to the players, cos this attitude is unacceptable for a team aiming for the scudetto. PS: Just wanna say, Dalot is an abomination. |

Spezia gave me flashes of the Lille game. That's the last game I remember where we were pressed to the point where we could barely get passed the midfield. Even in the Atalanta game we still created some chances, today it was just nothing
Yes the players were a complete let down, but man, Spezia really did a number on us with the way the pressed us. Pioli really needs to think of a plan B for such approaches from opposing teams because we clearly suffer. Our midfield was a huge problem today. Kessie, Bennacer and Hakan all made serious errors. The movement wasn't good and we rarely had an out ball. Credit to Spezia though, they beat us and Sassualo these past 2 weeks. They're a good side and playing like this would give anyone a run for their money. The derby next week is do or die for any Scudetto hopes |
