PADOVA - Jaap Stam explained why he had to leave the game early: 'I felt some stiffness in my calf. I kept playing for a few minutes and then I decided it w as better to leave the pitch. I am not sure that the stiffness is caused by th e knock I sustained when I crashed against the post. We are going to evaluate the damage. Today, we faced a good team and we played very well. I did save a goal right on the line, but this is what I'm paid for.' |
