call ups (from acmilan.com)

No Huntelaar. Bit of a surprise.

I think that's the final nail in his coffin. But imo it's a mistake to not call him up, Pato's having problems, he could easily pull out in a match, so we only have Pippo as a sub. Sure they called the kids up but I'm not about to hold my breath until they play an official match

Huntelaar is probably leaving tomorrow, so it'd be impossible to play him.

Yep, he's been having a couple of problems these past few weeks.

I think Abate would be our best choice, we're not facing a big team Abate usually does well against these types of teams. Bonera and Sokratis would make us relinquish all the width from the right side

Here's mediaset's projected starting XI:

Milan (4-3-1-2): Abbiati; Bonera, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Antonini; Pirlo, Ambrosini, Seedorf; Ronaldinho; Pato, Borriello.

TMW reported today that Boateng has the edge over Seedorf, which I'm really hoping for.

So my first choice line up would be

Abate--Nesta--Thiago--Antonini
Ambro--Pirlo--Boateng
Pato--Pippo--Dinho

At this point Pippo is our best choice, Boriello looks like he's still 2 months behind in preperations from all the friendlies we've played so far, while Pippo looks hungry and is just putting in more effort then he did in his 20s imo. Also to capitalise on his Barca goal, Pippo usually performs in spurts of good form, so I think he'll most likely score after such a goal against Barca

Long as we don't drop points, I don't care all that much who starts. Remember going to the first home game of the season a couple of years ago when we faced a newly promoted bologna...and lost. It was awful.

Yep, then Genoa, and lost again... Worst start to the season in I don't know how long.

These newly promoted teams scare me, they always want to prove a point, and even if they don't have the most skilled players they know how to grind out a result.

Roma were already held today by Casena, hopefully we don't fall into the newly promoted trap as well

Yes, two seasons ago with Ronaldinho nad Sheva coming from the bench in the second half. We also lost the second game too.

2 weeks isn't that long...

Look on the bright side - this way he can more accustomed to the rest of the team before taking the pitch.

*trying my best to find a positive here* - work with me...
