QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Aug 31 2011, 06:44 PM) Some notes on Nocerino; -Nocerino is a Juve youth product, sold to Palermo in the Amauri deal.Captained in 2008 olympics. -Last season he played all 38 matches for Palermo clocking 3393 mins (nearly 90) & saw 1 yellow card. -And you must remember the defensive qualities of Palermo last season. -Overall Nocerino's Serie A record: played 149, 7 goals, 10 assists, 24 yellows, 2 red (1 outright), stayed onfield on avg 78 mins.

In addition to that, we have one non-eu position to be filled in the winter.
@han, I am a HUGE fan of how Barca play and believe they would dominate the play even if we had Montolivo. I am willing to give Allegri the toughest of tests to prove his calibur. And while at that I remember living the fear the night before the 1994 final, the press were all claiming Barca would win .. They all laughed off Milan, add to that Milan had an injury crisis from the back line to the attacking department. Yet we won, with a HUGE margin as well.
Again I am not saying we WILL win, only God knows ... I'm saying you never can know, until the final whistle. Those are some good stats, he's definately a huge upgrade over Rino and Ambro Also, our season does not revolve around Barca or those 2 matches, we'll get out of that group win or lose the Barca games, but for the league and the rest of the CL campaign we need another creator. I still have my hopes set on a January arrival for Montolivo, even though we needed him now. That's because an injury to Seedorf and/or Aqui would cause us a huge headache. As for beating Barca, it certainly won't be done with a midfield that continuously loses the ball, and that is what the midfield you proposed would do. We need to keep it as much as we can when we're actually given that rare opportunity, we'll most likely be pinned into defending and Barca trying to poke it through tight spaces, so we need smart and fast players who will know how to utilise the little opportunties we'll get. And this is not me being pessimistic, because I believe we have a good chance to draw in Camp Nou and anyhing is possible at the San Siro. But to do this we need to play it smart, and giving Ambro and Rino a place in that midfield against Barca is anything but smart. Yes we need combative players in there as well. Boateng and VB are a given. What needs to be decided is who will get the other 2 spots, Aqui and Seedorf or See/Aqui and Nocerino? It depends, but I'm sure that we need at least 1 player who is very good on the ball, who will be able to distribute it well when we actually have it

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 31 2011, 06:55 PM) I think it's an acceptable transfer window personally. Can't argue with it too much. If we hadn't been promised certain things, then it would have been a great transfer window. But personally I feel deflated after all the hype and big talk

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 31 2011, 09:16 PM) Not again. We've had this discussion 100 times. That's how I like calling useless players, so live with it. Actually, it's a rules violation, so I don't have to live with it (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE (Jack Bauer @ Aug 31 2011, 07:14 PM) We paid €500,000 for him + co-ownership of Ricardo Ferreira. Wow so that adds up our entire transfer money spent for this summer... QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 31 2011, 07:16 PM) Not again. We've had this discussion 100 times. That's how I like calling useless players, so live with it. Why with the childish attitude? And can we not refer to Milan players in such a way? Everyone knows they're bad and need to leave, no need to add colourful descriptions to it.

Good one. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) QUOTE (han2503 @ Aug 31 2011, 09:30 PM) Why with the childish attitude? And can we not refer to Milan players in such a way? You people make it sound as if I'm calling them fuckers, bastards, faggots etc. Give it a rest, seriously.
