Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has revealed that AC Milan were extremely gracious when they were eliminated from the Champions League on Wednesday night.
After a fractious first leg in Milan, which Spurs won 1-0, both sides behaved themselves at White Hart Lane as the Rossoneri chased an elusive goal in North London.
You couldn't blame the Milan players if they reacted without dignity after being completely shut out and frustrated by Tottenham but Jenas told the London Evening Standard it simply wasn't the case.
'I have to say, though, that Milan were very gracious in defeat,' he wrote in his column.
'A lot of their discipline went out of the window in the first leg but I spoke to Clarence Seedorf and Alex Pato after the game on Wednesday and they both congratulated me and said they hoped we did well in the rest of the competition. 'I thought that was fantastic.
'Seedorf was brilliant on the night - he was pretty emotional after the game and you could see from his performance how much the tie meant to him.'
