Stam was one of a kind defender and I don't think Gallas can actually replace him, but he comes close. At least he doesn't get injured as often. But I still think we should consider some other options as well...
Daniel Van Buyten could be the perfect signing. While he is not as versetile as Stam, he is one of the only defenders that is very tall and very powerfull. Rui Costa was the dream sub for Kaka and now he is gone... Here are my candidates for his replacment: Kim Kallstrom Lincoln Shevchenko is almost certainly a Chelsea player now so, we have to think of someone... My candidates: Ruud Van Nistelrooy Yes, you heard me right. He is going to waste in MU and he could be a solid "replacment" for Sheva. Just take a look at his goalscorng record: http://www.rvn10.com/revamp/information_statistics.php Eto'o As much as I hate to say it, Eto'o could be a solid option due to lack of quality strikers. He is fast and can dribble past defenders, something Sheva was doing for Milan. Fernando Torres Ok, Torres is godlike when it comes to technique and speed. There is no doubt about that, but he is not quite as lethal of a striker as Sheva was and that's my only concern. But he is only 22 and is only getting better and better. Your thoughts on these players? Any suggestions? |
