It says that Maresca is set to leave Sevilla to to go back to Italy. And that Sevilla wants to sign Kevin Prince Boateng (German U21 international) of Hertha BSC Berlin. IMO a very talented player. I dunno if it's already enough for Sevilla but he's defintely more talented than Maresca (not a better player though).

I'm assuming he plays the same sort of role as Enzo?

Yap. He can play almost every position in the central midfield. As DM, CM and OM.

Good, good. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Maresca's been pretty key for us over the last few years, I think it was inevitable he was going to return to Italy at some point. At least We've lined up a replacement immediately. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Good signing, Forlan warned Athletico he wouldn't move there to be a 'Torres backup'.

So that just about confirms Torres' exit.

That is a ridiculous price (of Forlan)! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Well, I'm not sure how correct this is, but Villa were interested in him and Villarreal were not exactly keen on selling him. If I remember correctly he had a buy-out clause of just under £15m (E21m = £14m) so it could be the case. Maybe Forlan was they guy they saw who could replace Torres' goal haul per season. So maybe he left Villarreal, who were unwilling to sell, with Athletico activating this clause?

They probably wanted somebody proven in Spain, there aren't many others, especially with Kanoute commiting to Sevilla. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

I have to say I really admire Torres' own approach of the whole sage, he has rarely come out to say anything that could complicate things! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

And he has not lied (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Though the Atletico fans see him more of the Maldini or their team rather than the Shevchenko of their team, if u get what I mean (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) He is everything to the Atletico fans (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Inter And Madrid Set For Diarra-Adriano Talks

The Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Inter Milan and Real Madrid are ready to begin discussions over a swap deal involving Adriano and Mahamadou Diarra.

Following’s Suazo signing, Inter are now focusing on finalising Cristian Chivu’s transfer, so that they can move on and focus on strengthening the midfield department.

The idea is that if Inter would not manage to net a playmaker who could substitute Figo, then president Moratti would follow coach Roberto Mancini’s advice to chase Real Madrid’s Mahamadou Diarria.

It is understood that Real Madrid could be willing to sell him, only on the condition that Inter would offer Adriano in return.

In fact, the Merengues are in search for a striker would could make up for Van Nistelrooy, who is currently out injured.

The Dutchman will miss the pre-season, and return only just in time for the start of the La Liga season, and the doctors have advised against playing him twice a week at least until October, if not November.

Inter and Real Madrid officials are set to meet soon in order to discuss the transfer.
