QUOTE Sweden have been awarded a 3-0 win over Denmark by Uefa following the abandonment of last weekend's Euro 2008 qualifier after the referee was attacked by a fan. The game in Copenhagen turned ugly in the closing stages when a supporter ran onto the pitch to attack German referee Herbert Fandel after he sent-off Danish defender Christian Poulsen. Poulsen was shown the red card for punching striker Markus Rosenberg in the stomach and Sweden were awarded a penalty as a result. Before the penalty could be taken the spectator ran onto the pitch towards Fandel but was intercepted by Danish players. Fandel immediately blew the whistle and walked off the pitch and the game was abandoned soon after. Uefa's disciplinary committee looked into the incident and they have decided to award Sweden a 3-0 victory. Denmark have also been fined £41,000 and must play their next four home games 250km away from Copenhagen. They have also been ordered to play their next home qualifier behind closed doors. The news is sure to anger Sweden's Group F rivals Northern Ireland, with Irish Football Association president Jim Boyce calling for the match to be replayed behind closed doors Uefa's decision to award the match to Sweden sees them move three points clear at the top of Group F. Sky Sports Looks like Rosenberg's got the key to winning games. Elbow a player repeatedly, until he reacts, go down in a heap and you'll be awarded a penalty and possibly the game.

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Jun 10 2007, 12:51 AM) He must have been out of his mind !!! Denmark could have still tied the match, but with his stupid, immaturity, they lost 3 valuable points (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Not a fan (especially for Poulsen (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) of Denmark, but I do have a soft spot for Tomasson. He was the perfect example of a professional when he was at Milan. I'm a fan of Denmark (Especially of Poulsen (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) and I also like Tomasson, Laursen and Sorensen for their connections with Villa/Milan. But why a fan would cost his own country like that is unbelievable. He's probably the most hated person in Denmark! Then again, he's probably the most liked in Sweden. No offense to English posters out there, but Steve McClaren has lost his mind. He's calling up David Beckham for the friendly with Germany.

About McLaren, you just said what we all think, he is an idiot. I don't think having Beckham back is so bad though, he is the biggest game changer in the World for me, his set-peices are perfect.
