If we win CL we are directly in CL with no preliminaries. I' ve read this in Gazzetta yesterday (all the posible results - if we win CL and make it second in serie A, if we win and make it third or fourth, if we win and make it fifth or worse - in all this cases we are automaticly in CL, if we don't win and are third or fourth it's preliminaries for us) plus I have checked Uefa regulations. If we win Italy gets 3 teams automaticly in CL + fourth one in pre. - unless we are second or first (first is no option this year :-) ). Yes Liverpool went in CL through the pre, but that year Uefa didn't know what to do so they send Liverpool to the 3rd pre. round. After that year Uefa changed the rule so any team that wins CL is automaticly back next year to defend their title even if they get relegated in their domestic league. |
