After months of speculation, President Massimo Moratti has confirmed that Roberto Mancini already signed a contract extension "some time ago."

Newspapers had suggested that even a Scudetto victory would not be enough to keep the tactician on the bench after their second round Champions League exit to Valencia, as figures as diverse as Jose Mourinho and Marcello Lippi were tipped to take over.

However, after today’s triumph in Siena, Moratti gave an announcement in a live television interview with Sky Italia.

“The contract renewal with Mancini has already happened a while back,” he smiled. “That allowed us to be relaxed. It’s a four years plus one deal.”

That means the former Lazio and Fiorentina boss is tied to Inter until 2011 with an option to extend it for another year.

is everything a secret with Moratti!! seems everything is a game to him, lo scudetto, referees, and other club and there fans.
I hate you and your club with a passion you fucking cheating *******!!!

Because he belongs to Inter; he's a joke himself... the biggest one in the manager department! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Inter only won this championship because this has probably been the worst Serie A season in god knows how long in terms of quality.

And the fact that sides like us, Lazio and Fiorentina didn't even start level with them also continued to go in their favour.

They sure as hell didn't win this championship because of Mancini's tactical acumen (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

All that aside, Inter deserve this scudetto .. But the season itself wasn't interesting, I mean celebrating ur win, when u have nearly 20 points difference between 1st and 2nd place, isn't exactly a very entertaining championship. Nonetheless, Inter won this one on the field (of course w/ us deducted points and Juve in B, otherwise, they wouldn't stand a chance..) and they should enjoy this. Cuz it will be a looooong time till they do win again (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

If you look at their recent history they won 3 titles for the past 30 years: in the late 70th, the late 80th and now. So hope for history to repeat itself (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Well... TBH I fear they win it in the next years.

I mean, they've a strong team. If you put a good LB and a offensive-midfield (typical #10) in that... they'll be a real STRONG team.

They've only Milan to fight against as Roma is too sh!tty and Juventus probably needs 2-3 years to be at their level again.

What I want to say is that they've 15 titles. Milan 17.
And in May 2009 they can have the same number if we don't start looking at them seriously as a threat.

No, I think Juve will be challenging for the Scudetto next year, they have a team eligable for Serie A, I mean it is the strongest squad in Serie B ... All they are missing is a couple of players in certain departments and they are all set. Actually, if not Milan then I would put my money on Juventus to seal the 08 title, Inter wont win anymore titles, they will just spend as usual and get their lovely coppa italia and 3rd place finish every season .. That is more than they can ask for ... I mean look at Zanetti, hehe, after 12 years at Inter, he finally won something, what a loser (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Theay are a strong team but they had strong teams before too. Next season it will be completely different story.

We will start level with them, our player won't be too tired at the begining of the season and I'm sure this summers transfer campaign will be more prolific than what we had in recent years. This year we even started the season without a real striker but since we purchased Ronaldo we took more points than any other team in serie A.
