QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Nov 3 2006, 08:33 AM) It's funny how you (han) and dst talk about Torres... It's not like he is not a proven striker... Because he is... He always plays as second striker and yet his scoring record is the same as Gila's in all club competitions... He scores and creates a lot of chances... For himslef and others... And my GOD... I just can't imagine what the partnership between him and Kaka will be like... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) They are both incredibly fast and technical... I along many others believe that Torres will make it wherever he will play... I remember there was a poll on Gazzetta last year and over 91% of people voted for Torres to be our next striker... So it's not just me... And Braida said they have been watching him eversince he was a teenager and they are still following him... And you all should know that Milan rarely makes a mistake when it come to scouting young talented players... I'm 100% sure that if we sign Torres and if we manage to keep him for 7 years, he will exceed Sheva in every department... It's my only wish... Torres in Red and Black... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Inever said he would fail! I only replied to La palma because he was comparing his situation with oli's, because they are totally different. Still I don't think playing for Atletico qualifies as being proven, it's the same as the Gila case, he was practically a phenomenon at Parma, and single hadedly kept them in Serie A for 2 seasons in a row. I don't think that's such a small feet for such a young striker. Moving to one of the biggest clubs in the world for a big sum of money changes everything, all the pressure that he doesn't have at Atletico would not be easy to handle for him, and people expecting him to perform from the moment he stets foot on the field. Believe it or not it does effect his confidence and how he plays. If he is able to handle all this plus all the changes to adapting to a leage that has much harder defensive teams to the ones in La Liga, then I think he will shine at Milan. Gila is just now starting to come into his own, after a so-so first seaon (goal wise). If he has as much class and quality to adapt on the big stage as you say then I think he will make it. But the fact that Spaniards never made it in Serie A is glaringly obvious, but maybe he could be the exception to the rule. Who knows really?

You're talking about players like Javi Moreno, Jose Mari or Mendieta. But the fact is Torres is way above them. Ferrnando is a world class player, he could succeed in every league, in every countryn and in every team. It's like saying if Kakà goes to Real Madrid (just an example, don't have a heart attack (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) he will not succeed. Well, that's out of disccusion, cause he's one of the best footballers in the world, and so is Torres. I'm pretty sure if we won't sign Ronaldinho next summer, Torres will be our main objective, and we'll probably get him.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 3 2006, 05:12 PM) Believe me, Torres is very close to Kakà , you just haven't realised it yet. OK !! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I do not mean to be disrespectful to your opinion but they're absolutely incomparable right now ... It's like what you said about Tomb Raider the other day .. you have to check what's happening outside of your own personal penchants/likings to say something like that !! very close ?? Only as friends maybe ...

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 3 2006, 05:35 PM) 1. Believe it or not pal, Torres is one of the best strikers at the moment. I'm not saying he's as good as Kakà , cause that would be just stupid. All I mean he's not some random player who might fail at Milan or somewhere else. 2. Tomb Raider is one of the most prefered and sold video games of the last decade. That's a fact, not just a personal penchant. 1.As I said above I'm not saying he would fail at Milan I just can't be as sure about him succeeding as you and pKillerMax are ... that's all ... does this make sense ?? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) 2. If you wanna talk about sales then Lord Of The Rings is the best movie of all times !! QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 3 2006, 05:50 PM) Well, sales play a very important part of a product. Of course, not all things that have a great sale are meant to be awesome, but at least a video game that has began since 1995 with 7 editions and still keeps going shows it's something worth, no? Ofcourse it does ... I think I said that Tomb Raider sucks right ?? Well I drew the long bow there !! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) It's a fair game, actually it was revolutionary when it first came out I just don't think the series as a whole is anything so special to be "recognised" cause it doesn't really offer anything new apart from the storyline IMO ... In any case what I was trying to say from the beginning is on the same level that I can't say "Torres will be a flop" you can't say " that "he'll be an apocalypse" ... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Nov 3 2006, 06:28 PM) Ahhh... dst... that's not a fair arguement... Don't bring Xoffender's preference in video games into this... This is about Torres... Well just use (a whole f@cking lot of) imagination and replace 'Tomb Raider' with 'Torres' and you're there ... Nah, not really on second thought you're right !! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
