QUOTE (X-Offender @ Sep 27 2006, 03:03 PM) I agree with almost everything here. He's not the Gilardino of Parma we all knew. He has changed. He's not so deadly in front of the goal anymore, he's clumsy and slow. Not to mention a striker 10 years older than him, that is Pippo, scores more than him. He hasn't yet found the way of goal this season yet, and that is very disturbing. Let's wait and see what's he gonna do until December before jumping to conclusions. Though I doubt his desperate situatuoin wil change. yeah the Gilardino of Parma was so dangerous, he used to score from outside the box, did some overhead icks, his movement in the box was great ... and now all those things have changed because Milan depended on Sheva to score and Parma depended on Gila ... that's why atm Sheva and Gila are not scoring goals bcoz they are not the strikers that their current clubs rely on

QUOTE (dst @ Sep 27 2006, 11:35 AM) No way ... I know strikers are meant to score goals but IMO Gilardino has been very good so far; Last year he was, after Kaka, our most consistent player. He sacrifices a lot of his game for the good of the team and it's obvious we find it much harder not only to score but even create chances without him .... ahem ... Livorno/Ascoli anyone ??? Just look at our game flow last night ... 100% agree. All of you here know where I stand on this matter, I have had countless discussions about this with Rossoneri7. And I'm not going to comment on it anymore, it's just tiering.

QUOTE (aaron @ Sep 27 2006, 09:11 PM) i think he also realy want to score let us wait for sunday i just hope he score a brace on sunday i want to see him celebrating this coming sunday playing a violin. Forza Gila!! I think he saves the violin celebration for when he'll score in the CL ... so it's highly likely we'll never experience it !! Not 100% but 10000000000% I agree with this article and just want to say you GOOD JOB men. it REALLY makes me sad when I think about him, when I think about how much we and everybody at Milanello expected from him. But except the match against Livorno last season when he scored the double, actualy he has never been decisive! He hit the bar against Barca and this hearts much more. But OK I'm not looking to far, take for example the match against Lille on Tuesday, HE HAD chances, if he was better at finishing he would have scored but NO defenitevly he is not the Gila of Parma who scored goals from every possible position and in every possible way. Furthermore, I agree with the saying 'Form is temporary, class is permanent' but although time ago I thought he has quality, now even that I dont want to admit it, he is not showing even the smallest sign of quality. I wouldn't like anything more than Gila in his best days, coz to be honest I like him more than any other striker that we have.
