Apparently the reason the deal with Toro happened is that Toro both increased their offer to Milan and agreed to pay Niang the bonus Fester had offered him (but not in writing. Fassone had been refusing to pay that bonus and that's what hung up a lot of the negotiations).
As for today...I'm not sure. So far this window when the club has done the little teaser videos, there's been a signing shortly thereafter. Therefore, there's some reason to suspect there might be another one. On the other hand, I would also not be surprised if Kalinic was the last signing and today's thing is just a recap. If it is a recap? Hey, this has been the best market Milan has had in over a decade. They've brought in good players, nicked a very good one off of the Gobbi, and have managed to sell some of those silly Fester purchases. I am not about to complain for all that I acknowledge the club is ultimately 1-2 signings away from being complete. If it's a new player? Someone in midfield/attack would be most useful, I think. Lots of names floating about, but if it happens, a part of me thinks it likely it's something that's been kept out of the media. (eg a surprise). We'll find out sometime in the next 7 hours. |

Me too. I think our initial momentum just got a lot of people over-excited. This has been a 8/10 mercato for me. We made great new purchases, and got rid of a lot of deadwood. I think we forget how our market has been the last few years.
Geez, If you'd told me in the beginning that we'd just have the fullbacks and Kessie - I'd have been excited and happy. |
