Good. Hopefully this will all lead to one more big/bigger deal.

QUOTE (Fishdoll @ Aug 27 2017, 12:04 AM) Perhaps now we can actually discuss transfers in the transfer thread. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Let's (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE Looks like Gomez is going to Fenrebahce according to DiMarzio.
Various sites quoting that Renato Sanches didn't play today because he 'has offers'.
Mirabelli was at the Genoa=Gobbi game today. He's reported to have talked ot the agent of Pellegri, the Genoa kid who is rather good.
Paletta has agreed terms with Lazio, but a deal isn't quite done between the clubs. I also read we're looking for a big name for midfield and Rafinha remains on the radar.

Paletta has agreed terms with Lazio, but a deal isn't quite done between the clubs. Last week they said that a deal between Milan and Lazio was agreed and Lazio were finding it difficult to agree terms with Paletta, now they're saying a deal between Lazio and Paletta is agreed but not between Milan and Lazio This entire Paletta business is so boring and annoying considering that he was one of the first names on the transfer list for us from the beginning of the summer yet we haven't found a way to resolve his situation. I don't know if it's the players who are making it hard, the agent or the club. Same thing with Niang and Sosa! So annoying that they're still on the team when they're clearly not wanted by the club Is this Pellegri kid even any good? Too bad about Gomez, really wanted us to keep him as the 3rd/4th option but he seems like he wants to go. Fenerbache are offering us sh!t terms through, hope we don't agree easily even if the player is pushing for the move I'd still like to take Sanshes if it's a loan with option. But apparently we're closer to Rafinha from Barca QUOTE (Danny @ Aug 27 2017, 02:40 PM) I also read we're looking for a big name for midfield and Rafinha remains on the radar. Hmm, at this point I don't see how we can get a big name, it's too late in the day for that Plus I think our attack is much more in need of a proper LW rather then trying to get 2 midfielders, unless Montella is going to shift to a 3-5-2 that is (which atm I'm not seeing any evidence of)

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 27 2017, 03:37 PM) Ehm, last match we played 3-5-2. Is that not enough evidence for you? Clearly if he switches to a 3-man defense it will be when Romagnoli is fully fit. Last match? It was barely that. All the other games which were important we played a 4-3-3. Same as today, we'll play a 4-3-3 and for that you need wingers. We only have one real winger on the roster for this season and that worries me if Montella wants to persist with the 4-3-3

You think it's easy to switch formations like that? A 3-man defense system requires time and preparation. Furthermore, as I said, Montella is waiting for Romagnoli to be fully fit. As for 4-3-3, don't forget we have Bonaventura out injured. With a full squad I'm sure Bona and Suso will play on the wings. Whether Hakan will play as mezz'ala or trequartista will remain to be seen.

Yep, have to agree with X-O. It all seems to be a 3-5-2 setup.

Whether Hakan will play as mezz'ala or trequartista will remain to be seen. Neither Bona, nor Hakan are pure wingers, especially not Hakan who has been far from impressive when he was played wide. I really want you to be right, but nothing Montella has done so far says that we'll be switching formations any time soon. QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 27 2017, 04:01 PM) Yep, have to agree with X-O. It all seems to be a 3-5-2 setup. Let's hope so, because this Borini on the wing nonsense is getting tiring, not to mention the fact that we now have 3 good strikers and we're going to be sitting 2 of them out in order to play Borini on the wing

QUOTE (Danny @ Aug 28 2017, 01:01 AM) Going by tonight 'trequartista' is out of the question. I don't know what role he can fit because Jack is better in every department than Cal in the AM slot. Easy - a bench role (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
