Bonucci rumors picking up steam. While Romagnoli is out of the question, it is said that we will offer De Sciglio + 35m for Bonucci and 7m/year to him.

If we can actually make that happen I would be jumping up and down in jubilation. Bonucci would provide much needed leadership in our defense.

I do not give a lot of weight to CM, but this says that Bonucci my be possible. Juve is asking 45M (+De Sciglio) and we are offering 30M, but (given what we have spent so far) 15M is not that huge a distance.

We're missing a leader there, midfield and up front. Not enough alphas in this team. In fact, none.

The latest update says Juve wants 40M (w/o De Sciglio), while we offered 30M + De Sciglio. It also says we reached an agreement with Bonucci (6M per season - getting a little concerned about our salary cap, as that's what got us in trouble in the past, but that's a different discussion). So it is starting to look possible (I think we value De Sciglio more than 10M).

FWIW, somewhere (different pust or perhaps an earlier version of the same post) I read that the reason Bonucci wants to leave is that his relationship with Allegri has not been good for some time. Which lmakes me wonder how long Juve will keep dominating Serie A. The BCC (which has anchored the team) may be breaking up, Buffon is getting up there in age (and if their plan was to replace him with Donna "on the cheap" that's no longer happening), and in the midfield they are replacing creative players with "Allegri style" muscle players. Not saying much will change this season, but ...

Juventus now ask for €40m for Bonucci, that's not up for negotiation, without the inclusion of De Sciglio [Sky italia]

BREAKING: There is an agreement between Milan and Juventus to make the Bonucci-De Sciglio deals two separate ones. Juventus don't want to pay more than €10m for De Sciglio, the distance is €5m [Sky Sport]

Milan already have agreed personal terms with Bonucci who should earn €6m/year [MilanNews]

This means 25-30m + De Sciglio for Bonucci, even though the deals are not connected to each other. An absolute steal!

This is so left field. And a truly fantastic signing if we pull it off. Bonucci and Romagnoli I'd be delighted with. That's a Milan-level defence. And having Musacchio there too. Really pleased with this if it happens.

Bonucci is one step away from joining Milan. Deal could already be closed tonight seeing that Milan want to take him to China [La Stampa]

La Stampa is Agnellis media.

I am left under the impression that we will play something like this:

Donnarumma
Musacchio - Bonucci - Romagnoli
Conti/Suso - Kessie - Biglia - Bonaventura/Rodriguez
Calhanoglu
Aubamayang - Silva

Find me a better squad in Serie A, I'll wait.

Still with this 3-man defense??? No, just no.

Bonucci is not necessary IMO, especially if we're going to sacrifice Romagnoli. We already have e good CB in Musacchio, why not spend the money on a top CM instead? Someone better than Biglia...

I think if Bonucci comes in (which is looking more and more likely by the hour), we will end up playing the 3-man defense, like it or not. Personally, I do not see a problem with this approach. Also, worth noting that some of our recent signings (like Conti and Rodriguez) are well suited for the 3-man defense.

I am not. He's welcome if he joins, but we all know our priority right now is a top CM. in defense we're covered.

WTF just happed while I was away!!!

Mamma Mia! If we can pull this off...

It seems they'rfe still discussing thing with Juve but atm it's looking really likely.

As for Juve's dominance, we'll have to see how they buy, but they're definitely looking much weaker than last season with Alves gone, Sandro almost gone and Bonucci also looking like he's going. If we actually manage to get him, Biglia and pull off a miracle to get Auba or Belotti, I'm going to put myself out there and say that we're title challengers this season!

Still in shock at how things have developed in less than a total of 24 hours. Yesterday I was laughing at that mediaset rumour, because it was ridiculous, especially with the inclusion of Alessio. But now this thing is actually looking likely and Romagnoli is untouchable as well so he won't be included

Bona and Suso on the wing are problematic for me. It's not something we should go for. I'm thinking Suso would rotate with Andre Silva as the second striker while Bona while rotate with Hakan. But Abate and Antonelli will still vice Conti and Rodriguez

Well if we're getting Bonucci than that becomes almost a necessity. You don't waste the best libero in world football when you can get the best out of him in a 3-man back line. Romagnoli has also done well in it with Italy when they played Spain so I think he and Musacchio can adapt.

Also, Romagnoli won't be included in this deal. The only player from our squad heading to Juve is De Sciglio. So this is a win, win, win, win for us.

If we actually get Bonucci, Biglia and Auba then I say we're pretty much set, even without a world class regista (Biglia is no slouch)

Agreed

3.man back lines have been very successful as of late, also, being overly obsessed with a formation for me is a bit nonsense, as long as the system works I don't really care how we line up on paper

Great deal!!!

3m profits from Lapa. Loved the guy but there's not going to be space for him here next season. Now it's Bacca's turn!

I think a top class CB like Bonucci will elevate us completely. Also, if we switch to a 3-man back line, getting a top CM won't be as pressing a matter as it was before. Biglia is still a VERY good regista, one of the best in the league last season, add to that Bonucci is practically a regista himself when the team is in possession. So this is an all round great move for us
