I've recently checked and turns out that bar the one victory under Seedorf in 13/14 we haven't won against Inter for quite some time, years and years of defeats and ties.

Super Cup?

Or the year we won the league? I think we won both ties that year IIRC

The year we won the scudetto. I think we've won only that game against Inter as an away team in the last 10 years or something.

Yep, we haven't been dominant in the derby since Carlo's hey days. I remember whether it was Serie A, CL or Coppa, we made them our b!tches!

Now it's just a competition of who sucks the most.

I don't believe for a second that De Jong will be dropped, if he is that's just stupid

I don't understand what the issue is here. They can play in the midfield at the same time. It's not rocket science, and certainly a better option than playing Poli

Mediaset has Montolivo instead of Poli with De Jong as anchor. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

If Monto does play, I really hope he puts 100% in his performance. That's the only way he can convince both fans and Mihajlovic that he's not a finished player yet.

Yep, hopefully he won't make any stupid back passes

And this is not just important for himself, if he can regain some of his form at least he can help the team out, and we desperately need someone with his attributes in that midfield. But playing like he did last season, he'll be more of a liability than anything else

The fact that you (and me) are unsure if our team captain, who recently got benched and made a few horror performances, will put 100% in his performance for the derby match says it all.

Unfortunately. The most unworthy captain in Milan history.

Right! Wierd, that we did not change it as the captain on the field is pretty obvious to everyone's obvious.

Anyway, I agree, this is Montolivo's deciding season. Either he gets back to his previous form or his career will pretty much degrade and will be spent playing for the small clubs of the Serie A.

Honestly, my feeling on this is that he'll rise up to the occasion, but that's just me. ^^

We'll see, his problems have been physical, it's not just a mental thing with him. He's looked completely off the pace since coming back from his injury
