Even if we sign Romagnoli or Laporte, who's gonna be their partner? Mexes is the only one I trust from the current CBs we have. Alex is too injury prone, Zapata is way too inconsistent and Paletta is rubbish. If Mexes doesn't renew, we need to make two signings in defense.

btw, Mauri has arrived at Milanello and will be doing the medicals today and training with the rest of the squad. Official announcement probably to be made later today or tomorrow

I would be more than fine with Alex staying instead, but he's too injury prone, so you can't rely on him.
