I've seen him a few times in the past. He's solid. Strong physically with good technique and nice passing skills.

And once again, he's a striker that heavily relies on service, what's the point of getting him.

At least the Cavani rumours were funny because we all knew it was impossible, but this one worries me. Pretty sure De Laurentis would laugh all the way to the bank if we came in with that kind of offer

I really, really hope we get Ibra for free or for 10-12 million at most and focus on midfield and defense instead. Ibra, Menez, SES and Niang would be good enough for next season. If we qualify for CL for 2017, then we can try and sign another quality striker next summer.

To be honest, I don't think it's enough. I'd rather sell Menez as well, I don't see him working for us, especially with Ibra in the team. Then you've got SES who's a big question mark and Niang who's worthless. Not enough in my opinion, but yes, considering how average our midfield and defense look, it should be a priority.

Btw. it seems Rami to either Lyon or Sevilla is gonna happen. Good thing.

If Robinho could play with Ibra, then I don't see how Menez can't. Plus I think both Mihajlovic and Ibra could provide that necessary push for Menez to stop acting like an egotistical prick and focus on the team instead. Then having two youngsters like SES and Niang as subs would be alright. As long as we have a solid defense and capable midfield, that attacking choice would be more than enough from my point of view.

I see this completely different. But both our assessments are more educated guesses then real predictions.

1) Ibra couldn't tame Menez when they played at PSG. What makes you think this would happen here? Also, Ancelotti and Blanc both tried and failed to deliver their message to Menez. Second, I don't think Mihajlović can do much better, knowing he's a poor man-manager. And third, Menez used to play less and less lined up to Ibra with PSG, so I don't think they have the needed chemistry.

2) Robinho was a different player. He wasn't that self-oriented and over-doing everything like Menez, he simply deteriorated and managed to fall deeper and deeper into the pit. Also, I don't recall Ibra and Robinho working for real ever. Maybe the first season they did, but afterwards things fell apart soon and they both played in the same lineup, but never really managed to achieve anything as a combination.

I think Ibrahimović works much better when fielded with a classic SS rather then any wingers. If SES could pull that off, I'd say with Pazzo, Niang and a fresh striker we'd be fine. But thing is, SES is always considered a winger and nothing more.

Agreed about Ibra, he's the only one that can come in and give us guaranties of any sort of success.

As for Menez, if an offer comes in I'd sell him in a heart beat. But yes, that attack is adequate for a team that's only competing in Serie A. Ibra will make the rest sing

Spending anything over 20m for a striker would be stupid, however, going by what club sources and the guys at Milan channel keep saying. We're looking for 2 top strikers 1 top mid and 1 top CB. Which is stupid if you ask me.

I can only guess that they're looking at 1 top mid who is a box-to-box guy because they're still thinking of Monto as being the starting creator, which is beyond words at this point. If we have ambitious aspirations then we need another top CM.

And lets not forget that we're still stuck witch Cerci, Matri and Pazzo for now, we don't know if we'll be able to offload all 3.


At midfield we only have Bona, Monto, De Jong and Poli as viable option, and I hope they kick Muntari out on his fat @ss. At the very least we need 2 top CMs, leaving the other Italians as rotational guys with Bona being an option for the AM position if Ibra is brought in

With Pippo, Menez thought he could do whatever the f*ck he pleased. I believe that with the likes of charismatic characters like Ibra and Mihajlovic, and a competitive team to back his playing style, even someone like Menez can make a turn. That's just me guessing, though. The truth is that I don't want us overspending in attack and neglect the other areas we need to focus on.
