According to goal, we have a new offer for Flamini, a 2 year extension at roughly 2 million a year. I think we're gonna lose him.
Depends on Allegri's plans really. If he is going to be a regular starter, I'd go upto 3 million for Flamini.

There is no point in keeping him at Milan. Flamini is a good Nocerino backup, nothing more. He's a utility player that will help Marseille regain stability and good form, but with us he has little to show. With Traore as the perfect pointless sub for him on his way, his exit should be sealed.

Dunno. Maybe we won't keep both Muntari and Traore...though I doubt it.

QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ May 9 2012, 12:08 PM) I wouldn't. Milan offered a right amount. It's now up to Flamini: Milan or l'OM? Agreed, 2m is still a decent figure, especially for a rotation player who barely figured at all in the last year. I'd rather keep him and not create any new holes in the midfield. I'd rather worry about the already existing ones. Btw, for all those who are about to jump on me by saying that letting Flamini go would create a hole in our roster. Think of it like this. Rino and Ambro by next season will be even more non-factors than they already are, we're bsically only keeping them for their names more than anything else. Add to that the potential loss of VB and with the replacement potentially being some League 1 nobody, and after considering all that, I'd rather not lose Flamini @ zeddie. Nocerino had been a destroyer for pretty much his entire carreer at both Juve and Palermo. He made his name at Palermo playing the Rino role. Allegri just gave him a different role a milan by asking him to play as a box-to-box guy. But still, he mostly has the skill set of a DM, his biggest attributes are mostly running and hustling the opposing players.

QUOTE (Zed.D @ May 9 2012, 02:52 PM) Nocerino has always been a more offensively aware Rino though. what role he played before doesn't matter, at Milan he's mostly playing as a box-to-box sort of midfielder so to call him a DM (in the sense MvB is) is wrong.
Certainly when there's also Ambro, Flamini and Muntari in the lineup, there's not much defensive duties for him, so can attack more - and he has sufficient quality to do so. one can't label that a 4 DM midfield. There are a lot of more offensively mided DMs than Ambro, Rino and VB. They're more of an older style DM. While these days DMs are not just players who sit in front of the defense and just break up play or like what Rino used to do. De Rossi, Vidal, Kedira, Mikel, etc, etc, etc. None of those players are just basic DMs who have absolutely no skills or vision. Nocerino is in that mold, but he's still a natural DM that's being asked to play a role of a different kind of player. If Allegri were to start playing Ibra at the back would you start calling him a defender?

Ambrosini, Gattuso, Muntari, Nocerino, Traoré, Strasser, Flamini, Boateng. WHERE'S THE CREATIVITY??? Why do we keep signing muscle players, when this team is so desperate for some creativity and vision. Montolivo can't be the only player. We need to keep Merkel at all cost, especially if Seedorf and Aquilani are leaving. God, what horrific creature have we become!!! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Everyone chill! Geez! We have 3 months of transfer activity..and keeping with Uncle Fester's tactics..we shall take in 2 mediocre or average freebies..and then wait till the last 3 weeks to snap someone important. So feel free to rage..but I doubt much is gonna happen.

Well we could have him for 6. But if we didn't play him at all to let him go back to the Scousers...and then negotiate again to buy him for less than 6..by golly we are a bunch of stingy bastards!! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) If this weren't Liverpool I might even be embarassed! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
