Saying that I'm late with posting this would be nothing less of an understatement, but I only just came across it and found it to be post worthy.
8/11/2011 With this open letter Antonio Cassano would like to thank everyone for the wonderful support he has received over the last few days. Whatever sadness or difficulty I felt was soon replaced by the show of affection from people all over the world. The President, Silvio Berlusconi, Adriano Galliani, Massimiliano Allegri, the doctors Tavana and Mazzoni, all the staff, my team mates and everyone involved at Milan have constantly been close to me. Thanks to them and the doctors who have taken care of me I was able to face this strange 'injury' with courage. I would like to send out a hug to all those who have shown their support and made me feel important by coming to the Policlinico of Milan or through the numerous messages sent to me. I would like to dedicate a huge thank you to all the people at Real Madrid, particularly the President Florentino Perez and the coach Josè Mourinho. Also I will be following the developments in Genoa, a city that remains in my heart and that I know will soon recover from problems of recent days. I have to say, he has become one of my favorite players for us. I have always rated him, but to see how much positive energy he emits on the field/bench/clubhouse he is truly infectious! I'm not sure that my ideal top 2 don't include him and Ibra. They have a great chemistry, and while not a clinical finisher, he offers SO MUCH MORE then robinho. Truly a great player and a great person, I'm glad he has found happiness here and wish him all the best in both career, health, and family for the years to come.
