Actually, this will be a very important lesson to him. I don't think he'll ever try to field three DMs anymore.

Agreed. But imo, the problem was mostly Ambro's presence. Having 3 DMs is just not good reason enough for the way Nocerino and VB were playing, especially VB, who seemed uncomfortable with Ambro next to him. Both players who seems to occupy the same position.

Boateng made the biggest change, but the problem in the first half was thay we were completely reliant on Robs to move the ball to our strikers, it was just too easy for Lecce to crowd Robinho out since no one was moving up to help him.

Second half you had both Boateng and Aqui making runs, and practically making it a 4 man attack. Aqui wasn't apparent and obvious as Boateng because he doesn't produce that energy or really get stuck in the way Boateng does, but his support was a big reason as to why we turned things around. Some of his cross-field passes to Cassano were amazing, as wll as his assist to Boateng for the first goal.

Cassano got 2 assists btw. He's probably 1st on the assist charts at this point

Just want to say that KPB has scored waaay too many goals like the second of late to be a fluke. He will be a MONSTER played in the right position i.e. an attacking CM, entering the box late.

I feel really dumb for calling him mediocre now... I was WRONG. However he still is very unrefined in terms of passing and movements and he's not much of an orchestrator in attack. At his age he still has time and with that shot his potential is exciting

Boateng is starting to remind me of Lampard, in terms of style, just running in and shooting at will. His passing and vision is still off from what it can be, but as you said, he has a lot of time to improve. I remember seeing him in the World Cup in Africa before we signed him, he was good then, but his improvement during the course of last season and this one has been stratospheric

QUOTE (arivanjj @ Oct 23 2011, 01:30 PM) *
we'll see about that... i have a feeling we'll be seeing it again sometime soon.

Yep... Typical Allegri. Still imo, Ambro was the problem there. Him and VB just don't mesh.

Yep, what a couple of mistakes he made. Taiwo or Zambro should be first choice, I don't get how Antonini has gotten back into reckoning, he's never done anything of note. Allegri should go back to ignoring him like he did last season. he's a disaster waiting to happen. What a mess up today on the 3rd goal, just ridiculous

Next match I want to see a Abate-Mexes-Silva-Taiwo defense. Hear me, Allegri!

Yeah Nesta needs a rest while I don't even want to hear of Antonini. Nesta was doing the work of 3 today in the 1st half before Yepes finally woke up.

Next matchday we have Parma, while Udine play Napoli and Juve play Fiorentina. It could be a real chance for us to get into the top 2 - 3 of the table

Next match I don't want to see Ambrosini.

In fact I don't ever want to see him in the starting line up anymore.

Nocerino, Aquilani & Van Bommel - every game unless fitness should not permit this!

wow. what a game. it really is sad that galliani had to call (most likely) our coach to make game changes.

I'm pretty sure he was speaking with Berlusconi or someone else.

He was seen on the phone after every goal, so clearly he was updating someone.

The big problem is, I actually ain't sure about it. You see, every time he makes a step forward, he makes two or three back. The Palermo game went down excellent, we had 2 wins in a row and 0 goals conceded. Yet once again he decided to temper with the squad and look what happened.

IMO he's simply learning to slow. In the end, that will burn him out.
