All this wandering around, han's complaining and whining about our depleted midfield and lack of creativity, the fans moving from great expectations to confusion and possible disappointment,...everything could have been easily avoided if we kept Pirlo. At the end of the day, we could have snapped Aquilani also, we wouldn't need Kaka and Monty could have also been agreed for next summer. What a big mistake it was to let Pirlo go.

QUOTE (Bluesummers @ Aug 24 2011, 09:35 PM) next summer
We barely have a budget anymore because we paid
8m for ibra 5m for el sha 7m for boateng 10m resigning players from co-owns. Compared to other clubs that's peanuts imo, especially for us. After all the hoopla in regards to Mr. X bla bla bla and after letting go of Pirlo. I was nodding along as I read this, even the part where you insulted my tasteful analysis in regards to our midfield (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) But please Pirlo is a HUGE can of worms for me, let's not open it, or I could be here complaining about letting one of our best players go for NOTHING, while we resigned Rino and Ambro

QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Aug 24 2011, 09:12 PM) We got Aquilani and Seedorf. Pirlo won't be missed. Hopefully we will sign an AM now, Shame that after loaning out Strasser Flamini got long term injured. That's really unfortunate, because we may need to sign a replacement now. Still not enough. It wasn't enough last season when we had Pirlo and Seedorf and even then most of us knew that we needed another CM. So letting Pirlo go doubled our problems. And that is not even taking into consideration the AM position or the fact that we still rely on the ailing ghost of Rino on the right (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Anyways, you and me better not get into this Pirlo thing because we both know we're on completely different sides of the spectrum. I myself and many other fans don't believe that Aquilani is enough, we haven't even scratched the surface and now with Flamini injured for such a long time, more of the responsability will be pushed upon Rino and Ambro, which is a headache in and of itself. ------------------- As for Seedorf, have you forgotten how much Seedorf was cursed out last season? When he was playing like cr@p, and it's not his fault that the club is still completely reliant on him when he's 35 years old. It's completely unfair, yet when you see him out there and he can barely run any more or put 2 passes together then you can't help but throw insults at him in the heat of the moment. And the same thing will happen this season. Sure he's brilliant now, but he usually is in pre-season when he's still fresh, let's revisit this post in a couple of months when he's been playing practically every 3 days and we'll see how highly most of us will think of him then
