QUOTE (acid911 @ Jun 18 2011, 11:44 AM) Give me one nation conservative enough to take offense to that. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Sure it's not the greatest thing to do, but in the spur of a moment it's fine IMO. And yellow for this? How many times this has resulted in a player getting banned for the next game? A joke of a rule, fine players/clubs $5,000 or $10,000 if you have to, but don't have him miss a game. I've always wondered this too, I mean players swap shirts at the end of the match right and plenty just put them on their shoulder and don't have an undershirt on so why wouldn't that be offensive too to the supposed countries?! Why don't they get booked then? That rule has so many flaws.

QUOTE Fifa vice-president Jack Warner has resigned, world football's governing body has confirmed.
"As a consequence of Mr Warner's resignation, all ethics committee procedures against him have been closed and the presumption of innocence is maintained," said a Fifa statement.
Warner was suspended pending an investigation into bribery allegations.
He and fellow Fifa member Mohamed Bin Hammam are alleged to have paid bribes of £600,000 to Caribbean associations. FIFA are pathetic, especially the bold bit. So because he's resigned, you're not going to look into these bribes anymore and will just assume he's innocent? What a joke. No more Jack Warner though, that's one step in the right direction.

I'd be bad even if that sentence had ended at "... have been closed"...

True, even though Warner was one of the worst, even at FIFA, someone else will take his place soon. And the ethics committee is the biggest joke of an anti-corruption body in the history of all organization ever! But I guess the "FIFA family" doesn't care much...

Just curious: Does anyone even know that the FIFA Women WC cup started on Sunday? It's quite a big thing here in Germany (we're the hosts and the super-top favorites). TV-ratings are almost as those of the men. Quite interesting this hype.

Yap. And she's quite a beautyful girl. Still surpirsed by the TV ratings. 15 million people watched the opening match. Never thought people would be that interested in women playing football.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 28 2011, 12:54 PM) I heard there's an Albanian player in the German team, Fatmire Bajramaj. Yup, she's very good player. btw I'm watching most of the games of this tournament. USA and Germany are looking quite good teams. Canada had one hell of a striker with long black hair. Her name is Jonelle FILIGNO. (IMG: http://img.fifa.com/imgml/tournament/fwwc/players/germany2011/xl/294520.png)
