The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal at the Giuseppe Meazza after Milan agreed an undisclosed fee with Parma.

Bonera has spent the last four seasons with Parma after arriving from Brescia.

The talented central defender has been continually linked with a move away from Parma with Liverpool credited with an interest in Bonera.

Milan have won the chase for his signature and he is set to be unveiled by the Rossoneri on Saturday.

Bonera will help fill the void left by the departure of Jaap Stam at Milan.

This would be wise....he is a good signing but nothing special, an average defender.

Yeah .. But he would bring down the average age of our defence at least (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Average of 33.25 for a defense is definitely too old.

All the top notch defensive players were from Juventus and they went to Spain.

At least he has potential to develop.

If anything he could be used as apart of some deal for a bigger player.

No he won't be part of any deal, the official website said he would be presented to the press with his shirt, so he won't be loaned or sold to anyone

It could have been worse. He is solid enough and was around the Italy camp once so lets hope he can develop into a renwoned defender here. Crucially, I think he was bought because he has the ability to play RB and CB, emphasizing the fact that he was Stam's replacement.

I think he should start the season as our RB and see how it goes.

Plus, we can offload Simic to Everton or whoever now. no good reason to keep him.
