We have Pirlo and Seedorf. Why would you sign Aquilani. At least not loaning. I'd buy him in full ownership and make him Pirlo's backup.

comon now. Ibra has always been our number 1 target from the start.

As soon as Wolfsburg pulled that BS price tag in early July for Dzeko, we dropped our interest. Even then guys like Moggi came out and said that were interested in Ibra.

I even remember around early/Mid July someone came out in the press and said we will sign Ibra around the time of the gamper trophy. That will be our summer signing. We all wanted Dzeko at that time but things have changed since then.

Flamini won't leave. It could have happened if there was say 2 weeks before the window closes, but 5 days before? No way.

The only thing I see happening is the release/sale of kaladze and Janku from the squad to fund this and the probability of that I would say is 10%

Unless you were a fly on the wall at Via Turati you have no way on knowing that...

Boateng is not a replacement for anyone. Allegri asked for 6 midfielders, boateng is the 6th.


releasing janku and kala would just put us in debt at the end of the day or berlu might just pay it off. It'd be around 7m; but at least we can get open up room in our wage budget.

Aquilani and Pirlo can play in the same midfield, no problemo. A fit (kinda rarely) Aquilani is better than whatever Flamini does.

You're still not adressing the rotation problem at DM though, past Ambro, Boateng and Pirlo our midfield is useless without Flamini. Ambro gets injured and then what do we do?

Like I said, Rino is just not an option anymore. He's lost all the traits that made him one of the best in the world, or now to even be a decent DM. Flamini is someone we cannot afford to lose.

Aquilani it's kind of Pirlo's player. Even when he's fit, Flamini runs 5 time's more and that's crucial for our midfield.
I agree Aquilani is good but you can't use him together with Pirlo.

Robinho would be a massive mistake. Rotten attitude aside, ar we going to play with 2 players on the left? Both Dinho and him ocuppy the left hand side of attack, that's where they play their best football. We need a pure striker. Which is why Ibra is a good decision (football wise, attitude wise he could cause problems), Robinho is a player we don't need at all

But if they do sell Flamini that is their excuse, they'll promote Strasser and call it a day. If Silvio wants this he'll make it happen, now whether that will involve doing what's best for the team is irrelevant to him, he only cares about having his show pony to come watch on Derby days and big CL ties

No one is denying that Aquilani is a great player, I am a big fan in fact. But he's very injury prone, that makes him unreliable.

I understand the concern for the dressing room in regards to Ibra's transfer, but come on guys. How many times last year did we see Borri, Huntelaar, and Inzaghi just whiff and it cost us the game? Due to their need for 10 chances to get a goal we probably lost about 5-10 points in the Serie A.

I'd like a legit RB too, but Sokratis and Zambro are not THAT bad. We could easily do better, but we can survive with them. Especially after seeing our CL group today, I'm not sure we can survive with Borri/Hunt/Pippo. Borri will make a great backup as I have said, and Pippo will allow for late game tactical changes when things are not working.

Plus, my Fifa 11 team is going to be super legit with Ronnie-Ibra-Pato. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Still though, this deal could fall through in a heartbeat.
