QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Aug 21 2010, 04:24 PM) Disagree. You need to win the battle on midfield. Your 1st 11 will fail, and get *****. there isn't much of a battle to win. ----flamin----------pirlo------ ------------seedorf------------- Pato--------------------dinho ------------ibra--------------- this is a possesion formation. We wouldn't really lose the ball; thats why I opt for guys like seedorf and pirlo and dinho in the line up because we'll keep the ball. As long as papa/nesta/silva don't attack much, we'll be fine. Antonini can overlap and help dinho. Pato doesn't need help.

QUOTE (Bluesummers @ Aug 21 2010, 11:25 PM) ----flamin----------pirlo------
------------seedorf------------- That you put an eleven that keeps possession.. you won't have always possession.. it's too fragile that midfield.. two slow playmakers, and just 1 midfielder to do all the running and defending (well, not all, but see my point).. I would rather add a box-to-box midfielder like Boateng. QUOTE (d'Arc.LP @ Aug 21 2010, 11:34 PM) There's no way Boateng is better than Flamini or Ambrosini. It's not about who's better, but Boateng is a box-to-box midfielder who adds physics to midfield. Someone like that + a DM should work best.

so if zlatan arrives our squad will look like this: Goalkeepers (3): Abbiati Amelia Roma Central Defenders (7): Nesta Sokratis Silva Bonera Yepes Kaladze Onyewu Outside Defenders (5): Abate Zambrotta Oddo Janku Antonini Defensive Midfielders (4): Flamini Gattuso Ambrosini Strasser Creative Midfielders (4): Seedorf Pirlo Boateng Merkel Wide Forewards or Wingers (5): Ronaldinho Pato Verdi Odumadi Adiyiah Strikers (4) : Borriello Inzaghi Huntelaar Ibrahimovic 32 Players total. ---- Thats a huge squad, I hope allegri will be okay. This means that 9 players will not even get called up and furthemore, 14 won't even see the bench (IMG: style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Thats crazy imo, I could never deal with such a large squad. I'd personally accept at max 25, prefer 23. -------------- Now here's the million dollar question: We are versing Inter. Pick your squad of 18; state your starting 11 and formation. Well, that 9 players won't be called up and 14 won't see the bench, that's far from a shame while: (though it's a shame some expensive players are useless or close to useless) QUOTE (Bluesummers @ Aug 21 2010, 11:55 PM) Roma Well, the cheap 3rd goalkeeper. You need him too, but no shame he won't be on the bench mostly. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) QUOTE Abate, Bonera, Kaladze, Onyewu, Oddo, Janku, Gattuso, Inzaghi The latter two we gave so unneeded expensive extensions this summer and last winter. Seriously why? It was the right time to say goodbye. Why did we kept then? Kaladze, Oddo, Onweyu and Janku kinda too are useless. Bonera is not that bad, but no shame if he isn't on the bench, same goes for Abate. QUOTE Huntelaar, Adiyiah, Strasser, Merkel, Verdi, Odumadi Well, with Borriello, Pato and Zlatan we don't really need Huntelaar. Adiyiah sees never the pitch. The latter 4 are nice prospects who should get their minutes, but no shame when not called up and/or not on the bench. Well, that are 15 players that make our squad big... a part of them are useless, a part of them are nice prospects, and few are okay. QUOTE We are versing Inter. Pick your squad of 18; state your starting 11 and formation. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/96.gif) I assume that is including Zlatan seeing he was in that squad. Well, then I would go for: Ronaldinho, Ibrahimovic, Pato Ambrosini, Pirlo, Boateng Antonini, T.Silva, Nesta, Zambrotta Abbiati #12 Amelia, #13 Sokratis #14 Yepes #15 Flamini #16 Seedorf #17 Verdi #18 Borriello

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/96.gif) Here's mine : Abbiati Zambrota - Nesta - Silva - Antonini Flamini - Pirlo - Ambrosini Seedorf Ibra - Pato Subs: Amelia, Onyewu, Sokratis, Boateng, Merkel, Ronaldinho, Huntelaar (I'd use this formation only against strong teams like Inter).

Everyone's talking about it and by everyone I mean, news sources, forums, everyone! Look like Zlatan is coming (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) It seems the deal will be on loan with an option to buy. Apparently Silvio took care of the transfer himself and called ibra to finalize it. Barca will try and delay hoping either Madrid (recently linked) or Man City will buy him; but zlatan seems to want to only come back to Italy. No news on his wage but my guess is that the sponsors will pay for half of it and we'll pay for half of it. It doesn't look like barca is interested in paying his wages. There are arguments over the announcement date, some say tomorrow after the game. Some say before or after the gamper trophy. Some say august 31. But what everyone is sure on is that Ibra will be arriving. Sources: Check out tmw/mn/ RB forum/ MM Forum/ Footballpress/FI QUOTE allegri: “I’ll only talk about Ibrahimovic if and when he arrives. " Galliani also said this a day ago: QUOTE “Ibrahimovic is a great player who earns an impossible sum for Italian football,” the Rossoneri Vice-President told 7 Gold television.
“There are two reasons for this. Firstly Barcelona make double what Milan do. Secondly in Spain the tax rate on wages for footballers is 24 per cent, while in Italy the gross is roughly double the net sum.
“This regime no longer exists from January 1 2010, but not when it comes to old contracts.
“This is why I say that Ibrahimovic at Milan is 99.9 per cent a dream. Having said that, dreams are always enjoyable to experience, so we'll see what happens in the final week of the transfer session.” footballitalia ------------------------ cuorerossonero apparantly has insider info: QUOTE Chiamatemelo, voglio parlarci". "Credo di avere il numero, un attimo solo". La memoria del pc scorre alla ricerca, si ferma sul nominativo richiesto, il numero viene composto, il cellulare passa di mano con la conversazione aperta. Dall'altra parte squilla il telefonino, un sorriso accennato si apre prima di rispondere "Pronto?" "Buonasera, come va Zlatan, tutto bene?"
