I'm going to respectfully disagree with you jack. I personally think we'll have 40-50 million in the summer to spend. Whether we spend it all or not is the question.

Possibly. I'm thinking along the lines of how much we will actually spend. For next season, I think the priority should be FB and a mid-fielder to play Seedorf's position, though I'd like to see how Di Gennaro turns out.

I think these are two transfers that can be wrapped up for under 30 million. Even 20 million if we decide to go cheap. I think our total outlay will depend on whether we go for Dzeko or not.

I think we'll go for dzeko so thats 20-30 million.

we'll sign Astori for 2-3 million, CB playing for Cagliari.

We'll sign a FB forsure and oddo and Janku and kaladze will probably see the door. Favalli will retire.

We might sign a CM as well but I have my doubts. Seedorf at 33 does not look like slowing down any time soon. He has so much quality its unbelievable.

Tennie can you give a basic translation of this please and thank you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
QUOTE

QUOTE
The love stories are often inaccessible and tormented by lost love, touching and sometimes achieved. In today's football, where money is god undisputed master, the players tend to lose a sense of belonging to their team, except the pleasant and Edin Dzeko. The young striker was born in Sarajevo on 17 March 1986, his childhood was difficult, tormented by the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina (1992-1995).

Just six years with his family, was forced to suffer the horrors of that conflict, one of the most bloody and cruel of the last century. In conjunction with the war, a soccer team dominated in Italy and in Europe: Milan of invincible. The small Edin, to "escape" from the monstrosity of the war, began to thrill in football, began to cultivate his love for Milan, with the hope of one day wear the red and black striped shirt. After the war Dzeko began to play football, his dream had not subsided. In 2003 he signed his first professional contract with the Fc Željezničar, playing as a midfielder and initialed 5 goals in 20 matches played.

In 2005 Edin began his adventure abroad, moving to the Czech Republic, acquired by Teplice. The young footballer was immediately transferred on loan to the UST, a team czech second division, where Dzeko was deployed in attack, scoring 6 goals in 15 appearances. In 2006, the striker returned to Giovanti Teplice, playing a beautiful season: 16 goals, and the title of best foreigner in the league. In the summer of 2007, the new coach of Wolfsburg, Felix Magath, after noting the performance of Edin wanted him at all costs in his team. The team of Volkswagen Dzeko bought for 4 million, making him sign a contract to expire in June 2011. The first season of the Bosnian striker in Germany was excellent: 8 networks and 7 assists in 28 races, allowing the Wolfsburg in the UEFA Cup to qualify for next year.

It was the following season, the year 2008/09, to consecrate definitely Edin Dzeko, who, along with fellow department Graphite, led his team to victory in the Bundesliga, scoring 36 goals in league and cup season. In May 2009 Leonardo, new coach following the departure of Milan Ancelotti, Edin Dzeko identified precisely in the ideal reinforcement for the Rossoneri's team, the dream of a child was about to accomplish. In June, the Rossoneri directors flew to Bosnia to meet with the player's father, by defining the details of the contract and making sure, as expected, the will of the attacker, who could not wait to be able to wear the shirt of his team heart. However, as taught by the greatest novels, often in stories of love borne of sudden obstacles, in this case the "Don Rodrigo" the situation has a name: Armin Veh, new Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath took over. The coach Former Stuttgart, together with the leadership of the Wolves, considered unsellable Edin, seeing it as a key player for the team for the forthcoming Champions League debut in the German team.

In a meeting last July, attended Dzeko, Veh and the leadership of Wolfsburg, was enshrined the absolute incedibilità Player. Edin tried in every way to convince the Wolfsburg to let him go, showing all his anger and frustration, but it was useless. In the weeks after AC Milan, noted the impossibility of purchase, the Dutchman hired Huntelaar from Real Madrid. Meanwhile Dzeko signed a contract extension, which was inserted a buyout clause of around 30 million euros. The rest is history now: the Bosnian striker, after a brilliant start to the season, spiced with some internal friction (probably caused by the disappointment of not being passed to the player for AC Milan), has continued its relentless march realization, grazing also World Cup qualifiers with her Bosnia, succumbing only to last, with Portugal. In the last month the entries that gave Edin Dzeko at Milan are back strongly to the forefront. The stoic coach Armin Veh, after having prevented the sale in the summer, has given the green light to transfer must for next season.

The same Edin, as reported on its official website, said it wants at all costs, AC Milan, despite being followed by many teams, including Manchester United and Juventus. The Rossoneri, meanwhile, found Marco Borriello, pitted for the entire last season. Neapolitan striker has become a cornerstone of the new form of Leonardo, managing to oust the immortal Pippo Inzaghi. The game in Catania has also revived the much-criticized Klaas-Jan Huntelaar author of a decisive two goals in the final minutes. The current situation of the department Rossoneri forward and hence much better than in summer: the attackers are okay physically, play well and score. However, in the hearts of the Milan fans still harbors the dream Edin Dzeko, the people of Milan player has not forgotten all the declarations of love by the attacker Bosnian expenses, in addition to admiring his great qualities. Dzeko is in fact a versatile striker, tall and physically strong, with a great header and an above average technique, capable of playing as the first and second toe as well as being equipped with an exceptional flair for goal.

The center would be ideal for the Bosnian form of AC Milan by Leonardo, being able to play both as a center forward, but also as a forward outside, allowing a virtually complete rotation of the men in pink. Galliani, interviewed about a possible port of Dzeko for next season, has not closed the door striker, indicating that Milan has not forgotten the player and will do everything possible to acquire it. The size of the buyout clause would be around 30 million euros, a figure important, but that can be "polished" by the firm will of the Bosnian panzer dress Rossoneri. Dzeko talk about the latest in a succession of Arsenal, but at the same time, a refusal by Edin to a transfer to Manchester City, striker, as repeated millions of times, just wants to AC Milan. The marriage between Edin and people Rossoneri, canceled abruptly in the summer, could finally be celebrated as the most beautiful and romantic happy ending of a wonderful love story.

unless hunter goes the other way, i don't see the Dzeko thing happenning, while i don't watch to much Bundesliga anymore, i don't know what type of a Fwd he is but if we've learned anything from Hunter is that these present tactis don't suit him and as i had mentioned before he would need to be partenered with borriello with ronnie/pato on the flanks with pirlo and ambro/seedorf behind those 4, that being said i think that is a little too attacking for modern day football and wouldn't happen, is Dzeko an upgrade at CF over boriello in our tactics or does he play like klaas?

Dzeko is somthing special, i watch him evry game in last two years. Incredible strong, incredible pace, incredible header, incredible finish i think we onlly miss Dzeko so we could Aim. Borrielo and KJH are great strikers but Dzeko is Class!!!!

For u who doubt in Dzeko capabilities watch this :

Per che? I don't think so. You'll notice very little money has been spent this season for Leo. I think 10-15 for a summer transfer window is about par. Mid-tier teams spend that much.

Unless you're suggesting that 10-15 is a tiny amount, which I can't disagree with entirely. You'd have to use the Milan brandname, and hopefully the success we're reaping now (and that shall continue to season's end) to attract players.

Exactly. Milan's summer budget only 10-15 million? it'll surely be more than that.

As for Astori, who was mentioned above, it's sounding more and more like he'll be returning to Milan. He's a former youth product (for those who've forgotten) and is on one of the hated half-ownership things with Cagliari. Fishdoll wouldn't mind in the slightest if he brought Marchetti with him. The owner having money is different than the club having money. Over the last year, there has been a lot of work done to make the club self-sustaining (ie, not like inter or man city or chelsea where the owners inject 50 million at regular intervals). The positive in this is that Milan isn't going to have any trouble with the financial fair play rules UEFA has set up; the negative is that I dont' think we'll be seeing a lot of really spectacular signings for a while at least. And no, I don't think Berlusconi is going to hand over that kind of money for transfers in the foreseeable future.

I'm going to make myself unpopular and state that I'm not all that sure right now that Milan actually needs another striker (ie, Dzeko), no matter how much of a fan the guy may happen to be. I think a much more immediate and pressing priority is a fullback or two and that is where I'd prefer money to be spent.

We certainly don't need another forward. If Dzeko comes either Borriello or Huntelaar have to go. But I would not spend 30m on Dzeko no matter how good he is because with that money we can get a midfielder and a full-back that we actually need!

Maybe...but this guy could potentially be better than Zlatan Ibrahimovic....and I don't see Pippo lasting forever.

Right now...this very moment... if Borriello gets injured what have we got? You think we'll play that 4-2-4 for real..from the start?

I'll go so far as to say, he'll fit better than Borriello at CF. Now, we're all being optimistic coz things are working...if one of R80/Seedorf were to lose form/get injured this house of cards is coming down.

It's good times now...but honestly I don't see this lasting forever.

P.S: I realise I should hold judgement till we see Adiyiah and Di Gennaro....not to mention Paloschi might turn out to be superb.

You think he can be that good? I don't believe it. I have not seen too much of him but he's not as good with the ball.

If Borriello gets injured we have Pippo and Huntelaar. Pippo is now considered a replacement and he knows it, he's at the end of his career but Dzeko, Borriello and Huntelaar all want to play and we will never be able to satisfy all three of them even if Pippo leaves us or retires at the end of the season.

Dzeko cannot replace R80 or Seedorf. If they get injured we'll have a big problem with Dzeko in our squad or not. I don't think it would be less of a problem if we had him as he still would need someone to provide him with the right balls.

Well surely it won't last forever. But I can't see how Dzeko would help in that. A Seedorf replacement would. Maybe Di Gennaro can be that but he's still too undeveloped to do that. He needs time. Lots of.

Paloschi is another issue. What then with him? And Adiyah... I think we're more than covered in that attacking front. I can't see us going anywhere in the future with the full-backs we've got though. And if we're going to spend 30m on Dzeko we won't be getting any of those.
